Murder Investigation | Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On July 9th at 11:44PM, officers responded to the 15000 block of Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, spokesman for the Prince William County Police Department.
Officers arrived in the area and located one victim, identified as a 44 year old man of Woodbridge, on the front yard of a residence in the above area. That victim was found to have sustained a stab wound to his chest and was transported to an area hospital where he died.
While investigating the incident, a second victim, identified as a 33 year old man of Manassas, walked into an area hospital, also suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. This victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as the accused. The accused was eventually located and detained without further incident at a residence in the 14400 block of Fillarette St.
This incident was not random and appears to have stemmed from a gathering at a residence in the above area. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested, according to the police report.
This is Prince William County’s third murder of 2014, Officer Perok said.
