Fatal Crash Investigation *ARREST – On Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 investigators with the Prince William County Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit obtained arrest warrants against the driver of a vehicle involved in the fatal collision that occurred in the area of Country Club Dr and Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22025) on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021. The investigation revealed the driver of the 2008 Kia Sportage, identified as the accused, had a blood alcohol content (BAC) level above the legal limit on the day of the crash. Investigators also located alcohol in the vehicle and further determined the accused was driving on a revoked license.
The resulting crash killed a 54- year-old Dumfries man. A third driver in another vehicle involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as John William HARRIS, was located and arrested on Nov. 15.

Fatal Crash Investigation [Previously Released] – On November 6 at 4:37PM, investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Country Club Dr and Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a multi-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2008 Kia Sportage was traveling westbound on Dumfries Road and attempted to turn right onto Country Club Dr. At the same time, a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado were stopped at a red traffic signal on
Country Club Dr. As the driver of the Kia Sportage negotiated the right turn, the vehicle continued through the center median of Country Club Dr and collided with the Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The impact from the collision pushed the Ford Explorer Sport Trac into the Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Kia Sportage was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac was ground transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado sustained minor injuries and was also ground transported to an area hospital for treatment. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police.

Incidents
Armed Robbery – On Nov. 13, 2021 at 9:05PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 6500 block of Trading Sq. in Haymarket (20169) earlier that evening. The victim, a 36-year-old man, reported to police that at approximately 7:00PM, he was approached by two unknown men while in the parking lot of the above location. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s wallet. The men took the victim’s wallet before fleeing on
foot. No injuries were reported. The victim left the area and eventually contacted the police.
Suspect Descriptions:
• A black male, approximately 5’9”, with a skinny build, wearing a green face mask and a black hat
• A black male, approximately 5’9”, with a muscular build and wearing a green face mask
Stabbing | Attempted Armed Robbery – On November 14 at 10:43AM, officers responded to investigate a stabbing that was reported to have occurred in the area of Irongate Way in Manassas (20109) sometime between 3:00AM and 4:00AM. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 22-year-old man, was in the above area when he was approached by multiple unknown men. During the encounter, the group surrounded the victim before a physical altercation ensued between the parties. At one point, someone
from the group attempted to take the victim’s phone before the parties separated. As the victim was walking away, he observed that he had been stabbed with an unknown object. The victim eventually went to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries where police were notified. The victim was unable to describe the assailants.
Residential Burglary – On November 12 at 8:42AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Autumn Maple Leaf Dr. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The property manager reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 2:00PM on November 11 and 7:15AM on November 12. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. A GE appliance range hood was reported missing.
Arrests
Abduction | Domestic Related – On November 13 at 10:42AM, officers responded to the 14600 block of Brook Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an abduction. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 20-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation while at a nearby residence earlier that morning. During the encounter, the victim went into a bedroom where the accused followed. During the encounter, the victim attempted to leave the bedroom. The accused prevented the victim from leaving the room by blocking the door and, at one point, pulled her back into the room from the window. At some point, a family member intervened, and the victim was able to flee the residence. The accused quickly left the residence and followed the victim down the street where they were located by police. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Geremy Alexander RODRIGUEZ-PAZ, was arrested.
