**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery – On September 17th at 8:45AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 1200 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) that morning around 2:00AM. The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking home in the above area when he encountered three unknown men. The men demanded the victim’s phone and then struck him in the head with a blunt object. The victim fell to the ground where the assault continued. The men eventually went through the victim’s pockets and removed an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot.  After the assault, the victim went to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries where police were contacted. The victim was unable to describe the assailants.

Residential Burglary – On September 17th at 2:56PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1400 block of Ranger Lp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30AM and 10:00AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through the front door which was found damaged. A tablet and shoes were reported missing.

*ARRESTS**

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 17th at 6:13PM, a Prince William County police officer observed two men who appeared to be about to fight in area of Godwin Dr and Ashton Ave in Manassas (20110). When the officer approached the men, they separated without any physical altercation taking place. The officer did speak to one of the men who advised that the other man, later identified as the accused, was intoxicated and had asked him for money. When the man refused to give him any, the accused became agitated. The officer eventually located the accused in the 10600 block of Meadow Grove Ct. During the encounter, the officer determined that the accused was intoxicated and placed him under arrest. At one point, the accused began to struggle and reached for the officer’s duty belt. The accused was able to turn and face the officer, at which time, he spat in the officer’s face. The accused was eventually arrested and transported to the Adult Detention Center.
Arrested on September 17th:
Larry Darnell SPEARS, 50, of no fixed address
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO and public intoxication
Court Date: October 22, 2015 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Narcotics Investigation – On July 24th, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the dealing of suspected crack cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at a residence located at 14100 Madrigal Dr in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, suspected crack cocaine, marijuana and a handgun were recovered. The below arrest was also made without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.
Arrested on July 24th:
Derek Anthony WHITE, 30, of 14100 Madrigal Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with 5 counts of possession with intent to distribute a scheduled I or II narcotic, possession of marijuana and 1 count of possession of a firearm with a scheduled narcotic
Court Date: October 2, 2015 | Bond: Unavailable
