**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On October 8th, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified one of the suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 3600 block of Jurgensen Dr in Triangle on August 10th. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of this suspect, identified as William BRIGGS Jr. This suspect was eventually located and arrested at a residence in the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln in Triangle on October 13th.

Charged with robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On August 10th at 12:18AM, officers responded to the 3600 block of Jurgensen Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 48 year old man of Triangle, reported to police that he was approached by two unknown males who brandished a firearm then demanded money from the victim.  During the encounter, the victim was struck in the body several times then relieved of a wallet, cell phone, and keys.  The suspects then fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
Suspect Descriptions:
Two black males, approximately 25-30 years of age

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On October 13th at 4:27PM, officers responded to the Carter Bank and Trust located at 12791 Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an armed robbery. The employees reported to police that the suspect entered the bank, brandished a gun, and demanded money. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction, possibly in a vehicle. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing and there were no injuries reported. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male between 18 & 25 years of age, 5’8’’, 160lbs with a medium build
Last seen wearing a teal shirt, khaki colored pants, dark shoes and had a gray scarf around his head with sunglasses

Armed Robbery – On October 12th at 10:28PM, officers responded to the area of Sedgewick Pl and Kilpatrick Pl in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 46 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. At that point, the suspect went through the victim’s pockets removing a wallet and money before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’0”, 200lbs with a medium build and medium complexion
Last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and khakis pants

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On October 9th at 9:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10200 block of Farragut Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a destruction of property call. The homeowner reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area the night prior, October 8th, around 10:00PM. No damage was immediately discovered at that time. The next day, the homeowner observed the outer pane of a rear sliding glass door was shattered. The bullet did not enter the home and no other damage was reported.

Peeping Investigation – On October 11th at 3:10PM, officers responded to Potomac Mills Mall located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a peeping incident. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Stafford, reported to police that she and her 5 year old daughter were using the restroom inside the mall when she saw what was believed to be a flash and then a mirror protruding from the underneath a neighboring stall. At that point, the victim exited her stall to confront the suspect. A male suspect dressed in woman’s clothing hen exited the stall. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled the restroom area and was last seen running through the parking lot on foot. No injuries were reported. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspect. A similar incident involving a suspect that matched this description was reported at the Wal-Mart of Worth Ave on May 15th. The suspect in that case was not located.

Hispanic male, between 35 & 45 years of age, 5’10”, 220lbs with a heavy build
Last seen wearing a long black & brown wig, a pink shirt, black Capri-style pants, black & white shoes and carrying a large red & black handbag

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 12th at 6:43PM, officers responded to the 15500 block of Golf Club Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area. A resident also reported that a bullet was found near his vehicle. Officers checked the area and located shell casings near a home on Hide Away Dr. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Residential Burglary – On October 13th at 11:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Glendale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:30PM and 11:20PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made into the home through an unsecured window. Miscellaneous clothing items and shoes were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On October 11th at 4:56PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6600 block of Olga Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on October 9th and 12:00PM on October 10th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Jewelry, a cell phone, 2 televisions, 2 computers and other property were reported missing.


**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On October 13th at 8:57PM, officers responded to the 15300 block of Gatehouse Tr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 49 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known family member, cut him with a knife multiple times in an unprovoked incident. Minor injuries were reported. The accused fled prior to police arriving at the home. The suspect was eventually located and arrested without incident later that evening.

Malicious Wounding | Gang Participation – On October 12th at 6:52PM, officers responded to the 10000 block of Irongate Way in Manassas (20109) to investigate subjects fighting in the area. Officers located the victim, an 18 year old man of Manassas, who reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was confronted by three individuals and assaulted. While checking the area, officers located and detained two of the three suspects without incident while the third fled on foot.  Following the investigation, detectives from the Gang Unit determined that the incident was gang related and that one of the suspects was wanted in connection to a previous unrelated assault that occurred on October 1st. The suspects were arrested and charged with the below offenses.
Arrested on October 12th:
Santiago De Jesus CANDELARIO-GUILLEN, 19, of 10258 Cub Run Ct in Manassas
Charged with 1 count of malicious wounding, 1 count assault & battery, 1 count of obstruction of justice and 2 counts of gang participation

Adonis Neftali ARREVALO-PINEDA, 19, of 2086 Urbanna Rd in Manassas
Charged with malicious wounding and gang participation

Malicious Wounding | Strangulation – On October 10th at 4:34AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11900 block of Coverstone Hill Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck before throwing her to the ground. At one point, the accused bit the victim’s chin. A witness to the incident was able to separate the two parties and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with malicious wounding and strangulation

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 12th at 7:30PM, officers responded to the 12700 block of Lost Creek Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Fredericksburg, reported to police that she was inside a vehicle traveling to the above area with the accused, a known acquaintance, when an altercation took place. During the encounter, the accused physically assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving the vehicle. Once at the residence, the victim was able to contact a friend who notified police to report the incident. When officers arrived, the accused was located and detained outside the residence without incident. During the investigation, the accused provided identifying information that was not his own and was subsequently arrested. Minor injuries were reported.
