Incidents and arrests released on Monday, November 09, 2015

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On November 6th at 2:04AM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 1701 Featherstone Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that two unknown man entered the store armed with a handgun. The men ordered the employees to lie on the ground then took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers. Before exiting the store, one of the men fired one round into a television mounted to the ceiling.  The suspects fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported.  A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located.
Suspect Descriptions:
White male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’00”, 150lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a black ski mask, black long sleeve shirt, light blue jeans, and white gloves

Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’00”, 200lbs with a medium build
Last seen wearing a black ski mask, light grey hoodie, black shirt, dark blue jeans, and white gloves

Strangulation – On November 8th at 9:09AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Potomac Highlands Cir in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 60 year old man of Triangle, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the throat and assaulted him. A witness to the incident was able to separate the two parties and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. The accused fled the area prior to police arrival. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.
Wanted: 
Larry James CARTER JR., 29, of the 4100 block of Potomac Highlands Cir in Triangle
Described as a black male, 6’3”, 175lbs with a thin build, medium complexion, short black hair, brown eyes
Wanted for strangulation and destruction of property

Malicious Wounding – On November 7th at 1:50AM, officers responded to the 2500 block of Sedgewick Pl in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault. The caller reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he found the victim, a 48 year old man of Dumfries, lying on the ground suffering from injuries to his face and head. The victim was flown to an area hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. There was no suspect description provided. The investigation continues. 

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On November 7th at 12:53AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2000 block of Fort Pemberton Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were fired into the residence through a back window.  No injuries were reported. A police K9 searched the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Indecent Exposure – On November 6th at 3:15PM, officers responded to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 51 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she observed an unknown man expose himself and make an obscene gesture. The victim immediately contacted police and the suspect left the area. No other contact was made between the two parties. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On November 8th at 12:28AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13000 block of Brierly Forest Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM and 9:30AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A jewelry and cash were reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On November 7th at 4:21PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Alison St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The caller reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM on November 6th and 9:30AM on November 7th. The investigation revealed that entry was attempted into the residence through a rear patio door which was found damaged. No entry was made and no property was reported missing. 

Residential Burglary – On November 5th at 5:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9700 block of Lennice Way in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 4:45PM and 5:15pm a bicycle was taken from an attached garage which was left open. No other property was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 5th at 9:47AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 18500 block of Old Triangle Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on November 4th and 9:00AM on November 5th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through the front door which was found damaged. Two televisions, a gaming console, cell phone, cash, and other miscellaneous clothing items were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On November 8th at 3:10AM, officers responded to the 6400 block of Token Forest Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate a domestic. The victim, an 18 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim against a wall and placed his hands around the victim’s throat. The accused also struck the victim in the face multiple times. The parties eventually separated and the accused fled the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. A police K-9 and helicopter from Fairfax County Police were used to aide in the search for the accused. The police helicopter located the suspect in a nearby wooded area.  Officers issued multiple commands to the accused, all of which were ignored. A police K-9 was then deployed on the accused to gain compliance. The accused was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
