Incidents and arrests released on Wednesday, November 11, 2015
**INCIDENTS**
Attempted Armed Robbery – On November 9th at 11:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Edsall Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 58 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in front of her residence when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect demanded money from the victim and implied he had a firearm. When the victim stated she had none, the suspect fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported and a firearm was never seen. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located.
Suspect Descriptions:
Black males, between 17 & 25 years age, 6’00’’, 160lbs with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a navy blue jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes
Abduction Investigation – On November 4th at 7:35PM, officers responded to the 7600 block of Bland Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate abduction. Officers located the victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Manassas, who reported to police that he was walking in the area of Portsmouth Dr near the Westgate Apartments when he was approached by a vehicle occupied by 4 or 5 Hispanic males. During the encounter, the victim was forced into the vehicle by a suspect armed with a machete. The victim was driven to the area of Brandon Way and Sudley Manor Dr where he was forced to exit the vehicle with the suspects. At some point, the victim was eventually able to get away from the suspects and contact police. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, detectives from the Gang Unit determined that the incident was gang related, not random. The investigation continues.
Residential Burglary | Larceny from Auto – On November 9th at 8:16AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Catharpin Valley Dr in Gainesville (22155) to investigate a larceny from auto. The homeowner reported that sometime between 8:30PM on November 8th and 8:00AM on November 9th, an unknown suspect went through the victim’s unlocked vehicle parked in front of the residence. Further investigation revealed that entry made into the attached garage through the garage door which was left partially open. A purse and wallet were reported missing from the vehicle, and several bottles of soda were reported missing from the garage. The investigation continues.
Attempted Commercial Burglary – On November 11th at 2:17AM, officers responded to Express Pharmacy located at 1600 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm activation. The investigation revealed that an unknown suspect attempted entry into the building through a window which was found damaged. No entry was into the building and no property was reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On November 10th at 10:03AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Marlboro Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 9:00PM on November 9th and 10:03AM on November 10th, entry was attempted into the home through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made and no property was reported missing.
