**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding | Attempted Armed Robbery – On January 31 at 9:46PM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Bel Air Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting call. The victim, a 41 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was sitting in a parked vehicle in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanding the victim’s wallet. At some point, the victim was shot in the shoulder. The suspect fled the area on foot prior to police arriving in the area. The victim was flown to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.  A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male, unknown age, 5’9”– No further description provided
Last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, and blue jeans

Armed Robbery – On January 29 at 10:04PM, officers responded to the 8300 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 21 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he met an acquaintance and an unknown man in the above area to purchase a cell phone. During the encounter, one of the men displayed a knife. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area in a black Chevy Impala. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

Strong Armed Robbery – On January 29 at 9:13PM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Wrangler Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Maryland, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and grabbed her purse before fleeing the area on foot.  No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 17 & 25 years of age, 6’00” with a heavy build and black hair
Last seen wearing a black knit cap, red zip up jacket, black pants, and black shoes

Indecent Exposure – On January 29 at 7:07AM, officers responded to the 4600 block of Whitaker Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 36 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she observed an unknown man expose himself and make an obscene gesture. The victim immediately contacted police and the suspect left the area. No other contact was made between the two parties. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’2’’, 180lbs with a thin build and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a black jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On January 29 at 11:42PM, officers responded to the MVP Bar and Grill located at 7518 Old Linton Hall Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a stabbing. The caller reported to police that the victims, a 46 year old man of no fixed address, a 47 year old man of Broad Run, and a 48 year old man of Gainesville, were involved in a verbal altercation with the accused which escalated.  During the encounter, the victims were stabbed by the accused in the lower body, forearm, and face.  The parties were eventually separated and police were contacted. The victims were transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries and did not cooperate with the investigation.  Officers determined the incident to be gang related. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Brian Erwin ROWELL, 47, of 14585 Leary St in Nokesville
Charged with 3 counts of aggravated malicious wounding

Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On January 31 at 11:14AM officers responded to investigate a robbery which occurred in the area of Tournament Dr and Jupiter Hills Ln in Haymarket (20169) at 12:30AM.  The victim, a 21 year old man of Haymarket, reported to police that he met two acquaintances, identified as Logan ROSE and Sara JOSEPH, in the above area to purchase drugs. During the encounter, ROSE brandished a handgun and a struggled ensued. At some point, ROSE grabbed a hatchet and struck the victim several times on the head. ROSE grabbed the victim’s backpack and rummaged through his pockets before fleeing the area with JOSEPH. The victim responded to a local hospital where he was treated for serious, non-life threatening injuries and police were contacted. Following the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit obtained warrants against both of the accused.  ROSE and JOSEPH were eventually located and arrested without incident later that evening.

Charged with robbery and malicious wounding

Sara Amanda JOSEPH, 22, of No Fixed Address
Charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery
Court Date: March 4, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT bond

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 30 at 7:30PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 7500 block of Prince Cole Ct in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 48 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face. When the victim attempted to flee, the accused pushed the victim onto a bed and began to choke her. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and contact police. The accused left the area in the victim’s vehicle without her permission prior to police arriving.  Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. The accused was located and arrested without incident on January 31.

Arnoldo Laureano NARVAEZ, 55, of the 7500 block of Prince Cole Ct in Manassas
Charged with strangulation, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and domestic assault & battery
Court Date: March 15, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 28 at 12:22PM, officers responded to the Candlewood Suites located at 11220 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 19 year old woman of Reston, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal alteration which escalated at her residence in Reston earlier that morning. During the encounter, the accused forced the victim into his vehicle and drove her to the above hotel.  At some point, the accused assaulted the victim then forced her into a hotel room. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and contact police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused located and arrested without incident.
          Arrested on January 28:
          Darryl JOHNSON, 29, of 8218 Winstead Pl in Manassas
          Charged with abduction, domestic assault & battery and destruction of property
          Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Malicious Wounding – On January 30 at 4:54PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 16700 block of Harwood Oaks Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 23 year old woman old of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused bit the victim’s fingers. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Tiawana Maria HARGETT, 37, of 3381 Mystic Ct in Dumfries
Charged with malicious wounding
