Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On June 13, Jose Arnulfo ALCANTARA AREVALO was located and arrested without incident in Manassas. The accused was wanted in connection to a malicious wounding at a residence located in the 8100 block of Community Dr in Manassas June 10.

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On June 10 at 11:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 26 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a glass bottle and struck the victim in the face causing severe lacerations. The accused left the home after the altercation. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused, identified as Jose Arnulfo ALCANTARA AREVALO. Attempts to locate this suspect have been unsuccessful.
**ARRESTS**
Armed Robbery – On June 17 at 1:10AM, officers responded to the Candlewood Suites located at 11220 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man approached the counter then brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported. During the investigation, detectives with the Robbery Unit identified the suspect and another suspect who aided in the robbery. Both suspects were located and arrested without incident a short time later in the area of Lexington Valley Dr and Kemps Landing Cir in Manassas.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 16 at 4:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14800 block of Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 52 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and began to strangle her. The parties eventually separated when another family member intervened and contacted the police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
