Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Wednesday, June 15, 2016:
**UPDATES**
Attempted Residential Burglary *ARREST – On June 14, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit located the suspect involved in the attempted burglary which was reported to have occurred in the 16500 block of Bobster Ct in Woodbridge on June 13. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with burglary, petit larceny, trespassing into a vehicle, and providing false identification to a LEO

Attempted Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On June 13 at 12:35AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Bobster Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he heard his garage door open. When the homeowner looked out the window, an unknown man was seen outside the garage and fled on foot when he saw the homeowner. No entry was made and no property was reported missing. Officers checked the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.
**INCIDENTS**
Shooting into a Residential Dwelling | Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 14 at 11:06PM, officers responded to the area of Yosocomico Ln and Nanticoke Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting call.
Several callers reported to police that they heard unknown men having a verbal altercation in the above area. A short time later, multiple gunshots were heard. Officers checked the area and located shell casings in the roadway.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that two apartments in the 2700 block of Dettingen Pl were damaged. Several bullets were found lodged in the interior walls of the residences. No injuries or no other property damage were reported. Witnesses reported seeing an unknown man and a grey or silver Toyota or Honda vehicle driving away immediately after hearing the shots. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’6”, 160lbs, with a thin build with black dreadlocks
Last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans
**ARRESTS**
Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On June 14 at 4:25AM, officers responded to the area of Tenbrook Dr and Bigleaf Maple Ct in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a robbery. The victim, an 18 year old man of Gainesville, reported to police he with two acquaintances were involved in a verbal altercation in the above area which escalated. During the encounter, one of the suspects struck the victim in the face and demanded money. The victim eventually fled the area and contacted police. Responding officers located the suspects and detained them without incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused were arrested.

A 17 year old male juvenile of Gainesville [Juvenile]

Court Date: Pending | Status: Released into the custody of a family member
Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 13 at 9:57AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7600 block of Somerset Ln in Manassas (20110) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal alteration which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim and preventing her from leaving the residence. At some point, the victim was able to text a family member for help who then contacted police. When officers arrived, the accused was detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with abduction and domestic assault & battery
