**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle – On June 9 at 11:02PM, officers responded to the area of Old Triangle Rd and Williamstown Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting call. The victim, a 21 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he and two friends drove to a nearby convenience store in the Dumfries area to meet with an acquaintance. Upon leaving, the victim observed a dark silver, 4-door sedan following his vehicle. Once in the above area, the victim heard a gunshot. The victim then drove to the Gar-Field Police Station in Woodbridge to report the incident. The victim’s vehicle was not struck and no injuries were reported. Officers checked the area of the alleged incident and located a shell casing in the roadway. This incident does not appear to be random.

Residential Burglary – On June 9 at 10:05PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1800 block of Sugar Hill Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:30AM and 3:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked window. Multiple handguns and an iPad were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 9 at 3:00AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3200 block of Bethel Church Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a 911 hang up call. Once at the home, officers located the victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, and the accused, an acquaintance. The victim reported to police that she and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused knocked the victim to the ground. At one point, the accused grabbed the victim by the throat and began to strangle her. The parties separated and the victim was able to lock herself in a bathroom. The accused forced entry into the bathroom and continued assaulting the victim. The victim attempted to call 911 and was prevented from doing so by the accused causing the hang up. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers arrested the accused, identified as Julian Manuel FERRIOL-NSEKELA, without further incident.
