Arrests and incidents released on Monday, July 6, 2015

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation – On July 5th at 3:54PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at an apartment located in the 14900 block of Potomac Heights Pl in Woodbridge (22193) around 1:35PM. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused put his hands around the victim’s neck and began to choke her. Both parties eventually separated and the accused left the residence. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was located and arrested at his place of employment without further incident.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On July 2nd at 8:27PM, officers responded to the Tobacco King located at 13273 Worth Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted shoplifting. An employee reported to police that he confronted an unknown man, later identified as the accused, inside the store for attempting to steal items. During the encounter, a struggle ensued and the accused sprayed the victim with pepper spray and made threats implying he had a knife. The accused fled the store and got into a vehicle. Minor injuries were reported and no property was taken. Responding officers located the accused a short distance away from the scene inside his vehicle suffering from the effects of the pepper spray. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Charged with attempted malicious wounding and assault with a caustic substance

Residential Burglaries – On June 25th at 3:00PM, officers responded to investigate three burglaries which were reported to have occurred in the Gainesville (20155) area of Prince William County between 1:45PM and 2:40PM. Two of the burglaries occurred at residences in the 14100 block of Murphy Terrace and one in the 9300 block of Worthington Dr. In all three cases, bicycles were reported stolen from garages which were left open and unsecured. Through the investigation, officers were able to identify two juvenile suspects responsible for the thefts. Following the investigation, the juveniles were charged on July 2nd.

**INCIDENTS**

Strangulation | Grand Larceny – On July 5th at 3:42AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Esquarre Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 32 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was asleep in her bedroom when she woke to the accused, a known acquaintance, choking her. The victim was able to activate her home alarm which caused the accused to leave the residence temporarily. The accused returned a short time later and began choking the victim again. The accused took the victim’s cell phone and fled the residence prior to police arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers sought warrants for the arrest of the accused who remains wanted at this time.

Clayton Mack HOLLY, 42, of the 14100 block of Madrigal Dr in Woodbridge
Described as a black male, 5’8”, 185lbs with a medium build, dark complexion, short black hair, brown eyes, a goatee and a tattoo on his chest
Wanted for strangulation, grand larceny and preventing the summoning of law enforcement

Armed Robbery – On July 3rd at 7:44PM, officers responded to the 12800 block of Touchstone Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 42 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he made arrangements on Craigslist to meet with an unknown man in a parking lot in the above area to sell a cell phone. During the encounter, the man took the phone from the victim and fled on foot. The victim attempted to chase the suspect, at which point, the man pointed an unknown object towards him. The victim stopped pursuing the suspect and called police. No injuries were reported.

Black male, between 17 & 20 years of age, 5’3”, 140lbs with a thin build, dark complexion and short black hair
No clothing description reported

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On July 3rd at 2:11AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3700 block of Port Hope Point in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shots fired call. The homeowner reported to police that multiple shots were fired into the dining room area of the residence. No injuries were reported and no other homes were struck. Officers, including a police K-9, checked the surrounding area. Several shell casings were located in the roadway.

Residential Burglary – On July 5th at 5:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3000 block of Dunleigh Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM on July 3rd and 6:00PM on July 5th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear sliding glass door which was found shattered. Two gaming consoles and multiple TVs were reported missing.

Residential Burglary– On July 5th at 10:27AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1200 block of Cronin Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00PM on July 4th and 10:00AM on July 5th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a bedroom window after an air conditioning unit was pushed removed.  No property was reported missing.
