**UPDATES**

Residential Burglary *ARREST – On July 16th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit obtained charges against the suspect involved in the burglary which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 18500 block of Tralee Ct in Triangle on June 1st. Fingerprints obtained from evidence collected from the scene connected the accused to the incident. The accused was already in custody at the Rappahannock County Jail on unrelated charges.

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On June 1st at 9:46AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18500 block of Tralee Ct in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 9:30AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a side door which was found damaged. Two laptops, money and other property were reported missing.

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding – On July 13th at 7:55PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1200 block of E. Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22191) on July 11th around 11:30PM. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 39 year old man of Woodbridge, was assaulted by two known acquaintances following a verbal altercation which escalated. As a result of the incident, the victim sustained injures to his face and lower body. The victim eventually received medical attention at an area hospital where police contacted on July 13th. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of both suspects.

Malicious Wounding – On July 19th at 5:45AM, officers responded to the 1900 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 28 year old man of Woodbridge, was struck in the head with a glass bottle by a suspect following an altercation in the above area. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim was not cooperative with investigators during the investigation. No suspect description or information were provided to police. 

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 19th at 3:22AM, officers responded to the 16900 block of Porters Inn Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call. Multiple callers reported to police that gunshots were heard in the area above. While checking the surrounding neighborhood, officers located two uncoupled vehicles with damage consistent with being struck by a bullet. No injuries were reported and no suspect was located.

Residential Burglary – On July 18th at 6:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of King George Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made into the home through a rear sliding glass door which was found open. Money was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On July 18th at 11:21AM, officers responded to Shanghai Cafe Chinese Cuisine located at 12760 Darby Brook Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30PM on July 17th and 10:30AM on July 18th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the business. Entry is believed to have been made into the restaurant through the front door which was found unsecured. Money was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Armed Robbery – On July 18th at 1:08PM, officers responded to the 2800 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 44 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was assaulted and robbed by two known acquaintances in a wooded area near the above location. During the encounter, one of the suspects was armed with a pipe and knife. The suspects took the victim’s money, cell phone and food before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects, both of which were located and subsequently arrested without further incident.

Assault by Mob – On July 16th at 7:30PM, officers responded to the area of Williamsburg Ct and Georgetown Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a large fight. When officers arrived in the area, several individuals were seen dispersing and fleeing on foot. Officers eventually located a victim, identified as a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, who reported to police that he and his brother were in the above area when they were approached by a group of individuals. During the encounter, the victim was assaulted and stunned by an electronic device. A second victim, identified as a 57 year old man of Arlington, was also located and reported that he attempted to intervene in the altercation and was also stunned. Witnesses at the scene recorded the encounter and police were able to identify the suspect that stunned both victims as a female juvenile. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, charges were obtained against the juvenile suspect on July 17th.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 17th at 5:38PM, officers responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash. As a result of the investigation, the officer attempted to cite the at-fault driver, identified as the accused, with reckless driving. The accused was requested multiple to sign the summons and refused. After several attempts, the accused was placed under arrest and actively resisted. During the struggle, the accused grabbed one of the officer’s arms. The accused eventually complied and was arrested. No injuries were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Possession of a Stolen Firearm – On July 19th at 12:06AM, officers responded to a parking lot in the 14400 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. Multiple callers reported to police that two individuals, a man and a woman, were seen shooting a weapon into the air in the above area. Officers arrived at the location and observed two suspects matching the description provided by witnesses. During the encounter, the female suspect was found to be in possession of a firearm which was later determined to have been stolen. Several shell casings were also located in the parking lot. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, both individuals were arrested without further incident.
