Incidents and arrests released on Wednesday, July 15, 2015
**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation – On July 14th at 11:54PM, officers responded to the 3600 block of Jurgensen Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 36 year old man of Triangle, was in area when an unknown suspect shot the victim in the arm. Officers located a firearm and shell casings in the immediate vicinity of the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. This does not appear to be a random incident. No suspect information was provided.
Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On July 14th at 8:18PM, officers responded to Sentara Medical Center located at 2700 Optiz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 32 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he made arrangements to purchase marijuana at 7:45PM from two known acquaintances in the area of the homeless camps behind the Best Western located at 14619 Potomac Mills Rd. During the encounter, the victim was struck in the face several times then relieved of cash and marijuana. The suspects then fled the area in a gold Toyota Camry. The victim responded to Sentara Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.

Black male known as “Whop” wearing black leather pants with a black and white t-shirt

Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On July 14th at 7:55PM, officers responded to Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center located at 15225 Heathcote Blvd in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a robbery past. The victim, a 24 year old man of Bristow, reported to police that while walking in the area of Irongate Way and Community Dr in Manassas (20109) on July 13th between 12:00AM and 12:30AM, he was approached by three unknown males. During the encounter, the victim stated one of the suspects struck him from behind in the head causing him to lose consciousness. When he awoke, the victim noticed his passport and an undisclosed amount of money were missing. No suspect information could be provided.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On May July 14th at 6:13PM, officers responded to the 15100 block of Arum Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a destruction of property call. The caller reported to police that sometime between 5:00PM on July 13th and 5:00PM on July 14th, a bullet traveled through the rear window of the caller’s unoccupied parked vehicle and struck a rear seat. No injuries were reported, and no other incidents were reported in the area.
Residential Burglary | Grand Larceny Auto – On July 12th at 10:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2600 block of Omisol Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM on July 2nd and 10:07PM on July 12th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear door which was found damaged. The caller reported a 2004 Honda NSR50 motorcycle was stolen from inside the residence. A vehicle parked in front of the residence had a tire with the rim missing. Several power tools and other property were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On July 14th at 7:10PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Hemingway Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary to a vacant home. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on July 7th and 7:10PM on July 14th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through an unsecured rear window. Two window air conditioning units were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 12th at 10:45PM, officers responded to the 8000 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic in progress. Officers arrived in the area and located the suspect who was identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused approached the officer and struck him on the arm. The officer attempted to detain the accused who actively resisted. Minor injuries were reported to the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Warren Lee CORUM, 35, of 2100 Mountain Rd in Haymarket
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, resisting arrest, and intoxication in public
