Incidents and arrests released on Friday, July 10, 2015
**INCIDENTS**
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 9th at 2:30AM, officers responded to the area Spindle Foot Ct and Hoppers Ln in Bristow (20136) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that multiple shots were heard in the above area around that time. Officers arrived and located several shell casings in the roadway. No injuries or property damage were reported. Officers checked the area and no suspects were located.
Residential Burglary – On July 8th at 1:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11400 block of Hinson Mill Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:00AM and 7:00AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Multiple pairs of shoes and other property were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 10th at 4:00AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canton Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The resident of the apartment reported to police that she was asleep inside her bedroom when she woke to a loud pounding noise coming from her window. The suspect also attempted to enter the apartment through the sliding glass door. Police were immediately contacted and responded. The suspect was not seen and fled prior to officers arriving at the residence. No entry was made into the apartment and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 9th at 9:36AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16300 block of Sandy Ridge Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 12:30AM and 730AM, entry was attempted into the home through multiple windows. The investigation revealed that several screens to the windows were cut. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Commercial Burglary – On July 8th at 8:12PM, officers responded to the Chuck E Cheese located at 7730 Streamwalk Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The manager reported to police that sometime between 8:00AM on July 6th and 4:00PM on July 7th, entry was attempted into the business through the rear door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the business and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Residential Burglary | Domestic Assault & Battery – On July 7th at 2:31PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Wetherburn Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic altercation. The victim, a 30 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of her residence in the above area. The victim left argument and returned to her residence. Once inside, the accused entered the home without permission through a kitchen window. The victim attempted to leave the home through the front door, at which point, the accused forced the door shut, striking the victim in the arm. The accused left the home prior to officers responding to the home. The accused turned himself into police later that evening.

Charged with burglary and domestic assault & battery
