Incidents and arrests released on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016

**ARRESTS**

Carjacking | Felony Hit and Run – On February 7 at 11:44PM, officers responded to the Valero service station located at 17315 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a carjacking. The victim, a 55 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was dispatched by his taxi company to an address located in the 4100 block of Nichols Ct in Dumfries where he picked up an unknown man.  During the encounter, the victim pulled into the Valero service station and requested the man to get out. At some point, the accused began to punch the victim and knocked his cell phone out of his hand as he attempted to contact police. The accused then forced the victim out of the vehicle and drove off in the taxi.  Responding officers observed the vehicle in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Dale Blvd. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the accused continue to flee northbound on Jefferson Davis Hwy. As the vehicle approached the intersection with Prince William Pkwy, the vehicle struck a 2010 Hyundai Sonata from behind which was stationary at a red signal.  The accused exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the area on foot but was detained without incident a short time later by a police K-9. The accused was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  The driver of the Hyundai Sonata, a 62 year old woman of Woodbridge, was not injured.  Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

John Haywood REDMON, II, 24, of 8021 Thomas Ashley Ln in Clifton
Charged with carjacking, hit and run, eluding police, driving under the influence, preventing the summoning of law enforcement, and driving on a suspending license
Court Date: March 9, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT bond

Brandishing a Firearm | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 7 at 6:01PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15200 block of Wentwood Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 57 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, identified as a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim then brandished a firearm at her. As the victim and a 16 year old juvenile female family member were attempting to flee, the accused continued to brandish a firearm towards them. The victim and other family member were able to flee the area and police were contacted. When officers arrived at the residence, the accused remained inside the home and eventually surrendered to police a short time later. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the accused who was subsequently arrested. The accused was then transported to an area facility for a mental health evaluation where he remains hospitalized.

          William Clarence SCHISLER, 59, of the 15200 block of Wentwood Ln in Woodbridge
          Charged with 1 count of domestic assault & battery and 2 counts of brandishing a firearm
          Court Date: Pending | Status: Remains Hospitalized

Residential Burglary – On February 8 at 12:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Delaney Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim, a 33 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he returned to his residence and found an unknown man wearing a mask standing in the basement.  When the accused saw the victim, he attempted to flee the area on foot. The victim chased after the accused and observed him getting into a vehicle then drive away. The victim contacted police and provided the vehicle’s license plate which returned to a nearby address. When officers responded to the address, the accused was located and detained without incident. No injuries were reported. During the investigation, detectives with the Property Crimes Unit determined the accused was also involved in three other burglary attempts in Woodbridge on January 25. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on February 8:
Jared Demetric BOLLING, 32, of 13402 Delaney Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with 1 count of burglary, 3 counts of attempted burglary, and 1 count of grand larceny
Court Date: March 22, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Attempted Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On January 25 at 11:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4800 block of Montega Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that an unknown man knocked on the front door. When no one answered, the suspect went to the back of the residence and attempted to open a rear door. When the homeowner challenged the suspect, he fled the area in a black Mazda sedan. No entry was made and no property was reported missing.  A short time later, officers responded to the 13200 block of Quate Ln for a burglary in progress involving the same suspect. When the suspect was challenged by the homeowner, he again fled the area in the black Mazda sedan.  No entry was made and no property was reported missing. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On February 7 at 11:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Brandon Way in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:30PM and 11:40PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear door which was found damaged. A computer tablet, gaming console, and video games were reported missing.
