**ARRESTS**
Felony Child Neglect – On August 18th at 7:47AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13900 block of Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a child neglect. The caller, an occupant of the home, reported to police that the accused left her 18 month old child inside a lower level apartment of the home unattended. The child was found buckled into a car seat near the bed inside a bedroom. The child did not appear injured and was released to the custody of another family member. The accused returned to the residence around 12:00PM and was met by police. The investigation revealed that the accused had left the home around 6:00AM that morning, leaving the child alone in the room. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery – On August 18th at 8:53PM, officers responded to the 4000 block of Graham Park Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 30 year old woman of Mineral VA, reported to police that she made arrangements through Craigslist to meet with an unknown man in the above area to sell a ring. During the encounter, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded the ring from the victim. The suspect took the ring and fled on foot towards a nearby wooded area. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. The investigation continues.
Residential Burglary | Arson – On August 18th at 11:15AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Kingsman Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to assist the Department of Fire and Rescue with a house fire. The home was under renovation and was not occupied at the time of the incident. Through the investigation, officers determined that an unknown suspect entered the home by breaking out a rear window. A witness to the incident reported to police that he arrived at the home to make a delivery. The witness further reported that upon making contact with a man inside the home, he was informed to wait outside while the man reentered the residence. Shortly after reentering the home, the witness observed smoke and contacted emergency services. The suspect initially seen at the residence was not located inside the home. No property was reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Investigators from the Fire Marshals’ Office responded to investigate the arson. The investigation continues.

White male, adult aged, 5’8”, 200lbs with a medium build, black hair and a long goatee
Last seen wearing a light blue shirt and shorts
Possibly driving a gray colored Toyota Sienna van with temporary license plates
Attempted Commercial Burglary – On August 18th at 5:26AM, officers responded to Beauty Town located at 17064 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers arrived at the location and discovered the rear door was damaged and unsecured. The building was subsequently checked by officers. No property was reported missing.
