Sexual Assault *ARREST – On August 10th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit identified the suspect involved in the sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at the Wal-Mart located at 17041 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) on July 10th as Lance Daniel DICKSON. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for his arrest. The suspect was previously arrested and incarcerated on an unrelated matter. Warrants were served at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without incident.

Sexual Assault [Previously Released] – On July 10th at 3:47PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at the Wal-Mart located at 17041 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) around 10:22AM. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was shopping inside the store when she was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man rubbed against the victim and inappropriately touched her over her clothing. Following the incident, the victim immediately notified store employees. No further contact was made and no injuries were reported.
**INCIDENTS**
Shooting into an Unoccupied Dwelling – On August 11th at 10:00AM, officers responded to the Dumfries Health Center located at 3700 Fettler Park Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a destruction of property. An employee reported to police sometime between 5:30PM on August 7th and 7:00AM on August 11th, a single bullet entered a second floor window and was found lodged into an interior wall. The office was unoccupied at the time. There was no shell casing located. No injuries or further property damage were reported.
Commercial Burglary – On August 6th at 5:12PM, officers responded to Club Hope located at 8314 Browns Lane in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary. An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:30PM on August 5th and 5:00PM on August 6th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the business. An interior door was damaged. No property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On August 8th at 6:34PM, officers responded to the 3400 block of Bountiful Lane in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The caller reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on August 5th and 5:00PM on August 6th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the business. An interior door was damaged. No property was reported missing.
