**INCIDENTS**
Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 8th at 1:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6000 block of Empire Lakes Ct in Haymarket (20169) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 3:00PM on June 7th and 12:00PM on June 8th, entry was attempted into home through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Carnal Knowledge of a Child – On June 5th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1900 block of Stevens Rd in Woodbridge (22191) in early May of 2015. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14 year old female juvenile, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, while she was visiting him in the area above. Officers responded to that area and located the accused who was detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary – On June 8th at 11:10PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3000 block of Sassafras Tree Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a trespasser. The homeowners reported to police that they returned to their residence and discovered the accused sleeping under a bed inside the home. Officers made contact with the accused who appeared to be intoxicated. The accused was known to the family but did not reside at the residence. The investigation revealed that the accused climbed onto an SUV parked in the driveway to access an unsecured second floor window. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with burglary

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 7th at 10:59PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 11900 block of Coverstone Hill Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary in progress. A resident of the apartment reported to police that an unknown man knocked on their door and stated he was with UPS. The man then attempted to kick down the door. The resident contacted police and the suspect fled. Officers were able to identify a possibly suspect as the accused. The accused was located at his residence on Northington Cir where he was detained without incident. The investigation revealed that the accused went to the above area to possibly confront a known acquaintance over on ongoing dispute. This acquaintance did not live at this apartment and the accused were not known to the residents. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Bryan Christopher BANKS, 20, of 7637 Northington Cir in Gainesville
Charged with attempted burglary
