Incidents and arrests released on Monday, June 22, 2015

**UPDATES**

Residential Burglary *ARRESTS – On June 20th, officers and detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were able to identify the suspects involved in the burglary which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 7400 block of Pinehurst Ln in Manassas on June 18th. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.
Arrested on June 20th:
Salvador BAZAN, 50, of no fixed address
Roger Lee MORGAN, 47, of no fixed address

Both men were charged with burglary, grand larceny and grand larceny of a firearm
Court date: July 14, 2015 | Bond: both are being held WITHOUT bond

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On June 18th at 9:18AM, officers responded to investigate a burglary which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 7400 block of Pinehurst Ln in Manassas (20109) around 8:30AM. The caller reported to police that two men were seen breaking into a neighbor’s residence in the above area. One of the men forced entry into the home by kicking in a side door. The second suspect appeared to act as a lookout during the incident. Officers arrived at the home and conducted an interior search of the residence and surrounding neighborhood. Multiple firearms were reported missing. The men were described as white males in the 50’s. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**
Aggravated Malicious Wounding
– On June 21st at 2:10PM, officers responded to the 18100 block of Triangle Shopping Plz located in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 19 year old man of no fixed address, was walking to the plaza along Fraley Blvd when he encountered a known male acquaintance. During the encounter, both men became involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. At one point, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim to his lower body. After the shooting, the suspect, and an unknown woman accompanying him, fled on foot towards a nearby wooded area. Previous information regarding this incident indicated there were three suspects. That information was later determined to be inaccurate. The victim was flown to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A police K-9 and helicopter were used to search the area for the suspects. This incident was not random and appeared to have stemmed from a previous incident involving the male parties. The victim was only able to describe the shooter. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
The shooter was described as a black male, between 16 & 22 years of age, 6’0”, 150lbs with a thin build, medium complexion and short dreadlocks

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On June 21st at 9:40AM, officers responded to the 3500 block of Wharf Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate a destruction of property. Two separate homeowners reported to police that their residences were struck by bullets sometime during the early morning hours between 12:00AM and 1:00AM. At that time, gunshots were reportedly heard in the area. Officers checked the area at that time and no property damage was immediately observed. No injuries were reported and no suspects were seen.

Strong Armed Robbery – On June 19th at 8:01PM, officers responded to the 15200 block of Leicestershire St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 13 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was hanging out with other friends in the lobby of the apartment complex when another male teenager approached and snatched his cell phone from his hands. The suspect is known to the victim. No physical altercation took place and no injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 16 & 17 years of age, 5’6”, 160lbs with a muscular build, light complexion and short hair
Last seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, black and white ADIDAS pants and red Jordan sneakers

Indecent Exposure – On June 17th at 4:00PM, officers responded to investigate an indecent exposure which was reported to have occurred in the area of Powells Creek Blvd and Miranda Ln in Woodbridge (22191) around 1:00PM. The victim, a 14 year old female juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the area above when she observed an unknown man, possibly in his late teens or early 20s, standing next to a bike near a wooded area. When the victim looked towards the man, he exposed himself and made an obscene gesture at her. The victim immediately went home and notified her parents of the encounter. A similar incident was also reported on June 19th in the same area. On that day, around 7:03PM, officers responded to investigate an indecent exposure which was reported to have occurred in the area of Blue Pool Dr and Paper Mill Ln. In that incident, the victim, a 44 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she was jogging along a path in the area above when an unknown man on a bike approached from the opposite direction. As the man got closer, he stood up on the bike and exposed himself towards the victim. No physical contact was reported in either incidents and the suspect never pursued the victims.
Suspect Description:
Hispanic or Middle Eastern male, between 16 & 20 years of age, 5’7”, 200lbs with a medium build, medium complexion and short black hair
In the June 19th incident, the suspect was last seen wearing an olive green t-shirt, black & white basketball style shorts and dark rim glasses
In the June 17th incident, the suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and cargo shorts

Residential Burglary | Assault & Battery – On June 19th at 11:34PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3800 block of Fortuna Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a physical altercation in front of a residence in the above area. The victim attempted to leave the situation and entered her residence. At that point, the accused entered the victim’s home without permission and attempted to assault the victim again by picking up a broom and swinging it towards her. The victim was able to get the broom away from the accused. The accused then flipped over a coffee table before leaving the residence. Minor injuries were reported. The accused was last seen getting into a vehicle and leaving the area. In the process of doing so, the accused struck an unoccupied vehicle causing an estimated $1,000 in damages. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.

Described as a black female, 5’1”, 195lbs with a medium build, medium complexion, short black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for burglary, assault & battery, hit & run and destruction of property

Residential Burglary – On June 22nd at 3:26AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18200 block of Woodland Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers arrived at the home and discovered a rear window was open. Entry is believed to have been made into the home through the window after an air conditioning unit was pushed in. Several rooms were ransacked. No property was reported missing at the time of the incident.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 21st at 1:23PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 16900 block of Porters Inn Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that sometime between 5:00PM on June 20th and 10:30AM on June 21st, entry was attempted into the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the apartment and no property was reported missing.

ARRESTS**
Malicious Wounding
– On June 21st at 11:40AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 16700 block of Diamondleaf Oak Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 35 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw multiple objects at the victim, one of which struck him in the forehead causing a laceration. The injury appeared minor. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Malicious Wounding – On June 19th at 11:59PM, officers responded Madigan’s Bar and Grill located at 201 Mill St in Occoquan (22125) to investigate a fight with weapons. The victim, a 26 year old man of Stafford, reported to police that he was involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown man, later identified as the accused, which escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a razor and began swinging towards the victim. The razor made contact with the victim’s arm causing minor lacerations. Another man, identified as a 40 year old man of Woodbridge, attempted to separate the men and was also cut by the accused. Minor injuries were reported. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Dwayne Stephen JOHNSON, 48, of 5609 Richland St in Greensboro, NC
Charged with 2 counts of malicious wounding

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 19th at 4:32PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Endlsey Turn in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 36 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, placed his hands around the victim’s neck. Minor injuries were reported. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery

Abduction | Assault & Battery – On June 18th at 2:49PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 13000 block of Terminal Way in Woodbridge (22193) around 12:00PM. The victim, 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused knocked the victim onto a bed and held her against her will. At one point, the accused assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. Minor injuries were reported. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Raymond Craig PRILLMAN, 20, of 13002 Terminal Way in Woodbridge
Charged with abduction, assault & battery, preventing the summoning of law enforcement and petit larceny

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 19th at 6:03PM, officers responded to the Home Depot located at 14025 Foulgers Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight with weapons. The victim, a 54 year old man of Tobyhana PA, reported to police that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, began running towards the loading dock in an aggressive manner. As the accused got closer, he picked up a metal pipe and began striking the bay doors to the business. The victim yelled towards the accused to stop, at which point, the accused began to chase him. The accused was able to catch up to the victim and strike him in the arm with the pipe causing a minor injury. An officer arrived in the area and located the accused in the parking lot of the business. When the officer exited his cruiser, the accused lifted two metal pipes and began swinging them in the air while yelling towards the officer. The officer issued commands to the accused to drop the pipes and lay on the ground. The accused initially complied; however, became agitated when officers attempted to place him in handcuffs. As a result, the accused was able to grab one of the pipes and strike one of the officers in the leg. The accused was eventually detained. When officers were escorting the accused to a cruiser, he became agitated again and was able to grab one of the officer’s service weapon. A struggle ensued and the accused was eventually placed in the backseat of a cruiser. The officer’s was able to keep the weapon in the holster during the struggle. When a supervisor arrived to speak to the accused, he spat towards him. No contact was made. Following the incident, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on June 19th:
Shazad HAQ, 32, of 15807 Beau Ridge Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with 1 count of attempted malicious wounding, 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO, 1 count of attempting to disarm a LEO, 1 count of disorderly conduct and 1 count of obstruction of justice
Court date: July 29, 2015 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Child Neglect – On June 21st at 3:31PM, officers responded to the 17500 block of Wayside Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a single vehicle crash. When officers arrived, they observed the driver of the vehicle, later identified as the accused, slumped over in the driver’s seat. Witnesses reported to police that the accused was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control, striking a pole. During the investigation, officers learned that the accused was under the influence of alcohol and prescription medications. Also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash were two children, ages 3 and 2. The children were not injured. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested and the children were released to the custody of other family members.

Charged with 2 counts of child neglect, 1 count of driving under the influence and 1 count of driving on a revoked or suspended license
