**INCIDENTS**
Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] - On May 17th at 8:35AM, Prince William County police officers and members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force attempted to serve active warrants on the accused at an address in the 19300 block of Bellau Woods Dr in Triangle (22172). As officers were in the area, the accused was seen getting in a vehicle in an attempt to flee the area. At that point, the accused had to stop behind other vehicles which were waiting to exit the apartment complex onto Fuller Heights Rd. Officers began to approach the vehicle and ordered the accused to surrender. The accused then put the vehicle in reverse and struck an occupied vehicle which was waiting behind his vehicle. The accused then put the vehicle in drive and drove towards one of the officers. The officer jumped out of the way to avoid being struck. The accused then almost struck a second officer as he was evading capture. In the process, the accused struck one of the officer’s cruisers and proceeded to drive down concrete steps beside one of the apartment buildings before stopping and fleeing on foot. Multiple police units established a perimeter around the area. A police K-9 and helicopter were used to search for the suspect. No injuries were reported by the officers or the driver of the other vehicle.

Armed Bank Robbery – On May 18th at 11:00AM, police responded to the Carter Bank and Trust located at 8402 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) for a bank robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area, possibly in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used in the search for the suspect. Investigation continues.

Black male, between 25 & 40 years of age, 6’0”-6’3”, 230lbs, with a medium build, dark complexion, and short black hair

Attempted Armed Robbery | Attempted Carjacking – On May 19th at 10:13PM, police responded to investigate an attempted robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 13100 block of Marine Way in Woodbridge (22191) around 2:00AM that morning. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, was in his vehicle in the above area when he was approached by an unknown woman. During the encounter, an unknown man got into the passenger side of the vehicle, displayed a handgun, and demanded the victim’s money and vehicle. The victim ran from the vehicle to a nearby business where police were called. The unknown woman also ran from the area. The suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported and no property was taken.

Black male, between 25 & 30 years of age, 5’8”, 170lbs, with a medium build, black hair, and brown eyes

Burglary to a School | Vandalism – On May 19th at 8:45PM, police responded to Potomac View Elementary School located at 14601 Lamar Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. School security reported to police that between 7:42PM and 8:30PM, an unknown person(s) possibly entered the school through an unlocked door. Damage was discovered to the exterior of the school which included spray paint. No damage was discovered on the interior of the school.
Residential Burglary – On May 18th at 12:35PM, police responded to the 3400 block of Pin Oak Dr in Catharpin (20143) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM on May 10th and 4:00PM on May 17th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked door. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
Attempted Burglary – On May 17th at 6:36PM, police responded to the 2800 block of Wakewater Way in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 3:00PM on February 12th and 4:30PM on May 17th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a rear patio door. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Rape – On May 19th at 8:45AM, detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau responded to investigate a rape which was reported to have occurred in the 17400 block of Wilson St in Dumfries (22026) on May 18th. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25 year old woman of Dumfries, was asleep when she awoke to the accused raping her. The accused is known to the victim and the assault took place at the residence of the suspect. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer – On May 17th at 5:16PM, police responded to the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) for a disorderly subject. Mall security encountered the accused in the parking lot of Potomac Mills Mall. The accused was under the influence of alcohol and was attempting to open the doors to multiple vehicles which were parked in the parking lot. As security was detaining the accused, he assaulted two of the security guards, striking them both in the face. Officers arrived and took custody of the accused. While officers were placing the accused in a police cruiser, he spat at one of the officers. The accused was eventually detained and arrested. Minor injuries were reported.

Driving Under the Influence | Eluding – On May 18th at 11:32PM, a Prince William County police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Dale Blvd and Ashdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193). The driver, later identified as the accused, ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued onto Neabsco Mills Rd. The accused made a U-turn in front of Freedom High School and proceeded back towards Dale Blvd where he stopped and was detained.

Driving Under the Influence | Eluding – On May 18th at 12:00AM, a Prince William County police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Hastings Dr in Manassas (20111). The driver, later identified as the accused, ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued to Caspian Pl where the suspect struck an unoccupied vehicle. The accused then drove to Milic St where he stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers chased after the accused on foot to his address on Caspian Pl where he was arrested.

Driving Under the Influence | Eluding – On May 17th at 10:13PM, a Prince William County police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Oak Farm Dr and Maple Ridge Dr in Woodbridge (22192). The driver, later identified as the accused, ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued to the area of Jacks Dr and Rush Dr. Stop sticks were deployed which flatted one of the vehicle’s tires. The accused was arrested and was found to be in possession of marijuana and suspected cocaine.

Narcotics Investigation – On April 18th at 2:11AM, police were conducting proactive foot patrol in the 13800 block of Meadowbrook Dr in Woodbridge (22193). During the patrol, officers observed a drug transaction at a residence in the above area. Officers made contact and identified the accused. During the course of the investigation, synthetic marijuana was recovered. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

Narcotics Investigation – On April 16th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of prescription medications with the below arrests. The arrests were made without incident in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Neabsco Rd in Woodbridge (22191). These arrests were previously held for investigative purposes.

Narcotics Investigation – On April 4th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of marijuana with the execution of a search warrant at 36 Prince William Cir in Dumfries (22026). As a result of the search, marijuana, hash oil, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were seized. The following arrest was also made without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.
