**ARRESTS**

Felony Child Neglect – On May 15th at 6:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Village Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a welfare check. A concerned caller requested police check on the welfare of a physically disabled 17 year old male juvenile residing at the residence. The concerns stemmed from alleged sanitary conditions of the home. Officers made contact at the home and with the accused. During a check of the home, officers discovered feces in the home and unsafe conditions. Officers notified Child Protective Services who also responded to the home. The victim was released to the custody of another family member. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Dena Lanay ARNOLD, 38, of the 14400 block of Village Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with felony child neglect
Court date: pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

**UPDATES**

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related *ARREST – On May 17th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to determine that the robbery previously reported below was false. The investigation revealed that the victim and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face multiple times causing significant injuries. The accused and victim are family members. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with malicious wounding

Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On May 14th at 4:24AM, officers responded to the 13100 block of Hillendale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by three unknown men. During the encounter, the men assaulted the victim before talking an undisclosed amount of money and feeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. The victim was only able to describe the assailants as black males in their early 20’s.

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On May 17th at 10:14PM, officers responded to the area of Jurgensen Dr and Graham Park Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that the victims, an 18 year old man and a 16 year old male juvenile – both of Triangle, were walking in the above area when they were confronted by a group of about 8 unknown black males. During the encounter, the adult victim was struck with a baseball bat by one of the men while another suspect took the victim’s money. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. While investigating, detectives from the Robbery Unit further learned that the two victims were involved in a separate incident on May 15th involving two suspects from the same group in the latest incident. In that encounter, the victims were assaulted by the suspects with sticks. No injuries were reported. Further descriptions of the assailants were not immediately provided to detectives. These incidents do not appear to be random.

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On May 17th at 12:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Raphiel Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a destruction of property call. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 8:00AM on May 3rd and 12:00PM on May 17th, a bullet traveled through a screen on an upper window of the home and struck the wooden pain between the screen and window. The bullet did not enter the residence or damage the glass on the window. No injuries were reported and no other incidents were reported in the area.

Residential Burglary – On May 17th at 8:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2700 block of Maple Ridge Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between April 3rd and April 10th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured garage door. A bicycle was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 16th at 7:02PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14600 block of Bakersfield St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:00PM and 4:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On May 14th at 12:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Davis Fairfax Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The passerby reported to police that while walking their dog in the above area, they observed a rear sliding glass door was shattered to a residence. The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM on May 12th and 12:40PM on May 14th. A gaming console, jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money were reported missing.
