**UPDATES**

Reckless Handling of a Firearm *ARRESTS – On April 28th, detectives were able to identify the remaining parties involved in the shooting incident which was reported to have occurred in the 3200 block of Blazer Lp in Woodbridge on April 16th.  The investigation revealed that Jorge LOZADA arranged a meeting between Ishmil HARDWICK and the victim, a 15 year old male juvenile, to purchase a firearm.  Once the victim gave the money to Ishmil HARDWICK, Ishmil HARDWICK brandished a firearm at the victim.  As the victim attempted to flee, Ishmil HARDWICK and Jorge LOZADA exchanged gunfire. Ishmil HARDWICK then fled the scene in a vehicle as Jorge LOZADA continued firing at him.  Further investigation revealed that the firearm used by Jorge LOZADA was stolen. Following the investigation, Jorge LOZADA was served with the additional listed charge while being held at the Adult Detention Center on prior related charges.  Ishmil HARDWICK was served while being held at the Adult Detention Center for prior unrelated charges.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm [Previously Released] – On April 16th at 11:35PM, officers responded to the 3200 block of Blazer Lp in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that an altercation took place in front of an apartment building in the above area. During the encounter, a man, later identified as the accused, fired multiple rounds towards a suspect in another vehicle as they drove away. The other suspect also reportedly fired towards the accused. As a result of the incident, multiple rounds hit the nearby apartment building. Officers did locate shell casings inside and outside of the building. No injuries were reported. The accused was quickly identified as being involved in the incident and was subsequently arrested without further incident. During a search of the residence belonging to the accused, suspected marijuana, cocaine and a handgun were located. This was not a random incident.

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On April 28 at 11:39AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13400 block of Keystone Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00AM and 7:00PM on April 27th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. An interior door was discovered damaged. Tools and a pair of shoes were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Stabbing Investigation – On April 28th at 9:20AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13200 block of Fireside Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, was found to be suffering from a significant wound to the lower abdomen.  Further investigation revealed that the incident was drug related. Two of the victim’s known acquaintances, later identified as the accused, responded to the victim’s residence where they assaulted him with a knife while he was asleep, then took his money.  The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.  A police K-9 and a Fairfax County police helicopter were used to search for the suspects.  The victim was transported to an area hospital and remains hospitalized in critical condition.  Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. Both suspects were located and arrested without incident by the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force on April 28th in Fairfax. This was not a random incident.

Assault & battery on a LEO, resisting arrest, and intoxicated in public  – On April 28th at 11:14PM, officers responded to 4000 block of Cressida Pl in Woodbridge (22192) for a disorderly person.  While in the area, officers observed an intoxicated man walking in the middle of the roadway.  Upon further investigation, the accused was told was under arrest.  During the encounter, the accused assaulted an officer. The accused was eventually taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was charged.

Falsely Summoning the Police – On April 28th at 12:28AM, officers responded to the 14400 block of Gideon Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery.  The caller, later identified as the accused, reported to police that he agreed to meet a known acquaintance in the above area.  As the two approached a nearby business, the accused stated the acquaintance pulled out a knife and demanded money.  After speaking with all parties involved, officers determined that a robbery did not occur. The accused was arrested without incident.
