Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Friday, April 24, 2015

**INCIDENTS**

Shooting Into an Occupied Dwelling – On April 23rd at 10:20PM, officers responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Yost Lane in the Dumfries area (22026) in reference to someone hearing what sounded like 7 gunshots near the woodline.  As officers were conducting their investigation, the resident of a nearby apartment in the 17100 block of Shell Cast Loop discovered what appeared to be a bullet hole on the wall that faced the woodline and a second hole across the room and called the police.  Further investigation revealed that a single bullet penetrated the outer wall of the apartment and the interior wall on the other side of the room.  The bullet did not appear to fully penetrate the interior wall into the hallway.  No injuries were reported.  No other property damage was reported. 

Burglary – On April 23rd at 10:00PM, officers responded to the 9700 block of Damascus Drive in Manassas (20109) in reference to a burglary.  The victim reported that between 7:45AM and 10:00PM, unknown persons entered her home through a side door.  Taken were home electronics, cash, and prescription medications. 

**ARRESTS**

Possession of a Controlled Substance – On April 23rd at 10:57PM, the offender was involved in a traffic stop after the arresting officer observed driving behavior consistent with being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  During the course of the stop and subsequent investigation, the officer located drugs and a 9mm handgun.  The evidence was seized and the driver arrested.
Arrested:  Tyrique LAUDERDALE, 21, of 7040 Lakota Dr in Woodbridge.
Charged with: Possession of a Schedule I or II Drug, Possession of a Firearm While In Possession of a Schedule I or II Drug, and Possession of Marijuana.
