Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Wednesday, April 22, 2015
**ARRESTS**
Strong Armed Robbery - On April 21st at 4:36PM, officers responded to the Global Foods located at 10320 Festival Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a larceny. Employees reported to police that five unknown suspects, 3 males and 2 females, entered the store and attempted to steal beer. When confronted by employees, a struggle ensued. All suspects fled the store with the beer prior to police arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported. Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, officers identified the suspects as area gang members. Detectives from the Gang Unit were able to locate and arrest four of the suspects, three of which were juveniles.

Strong Armed Robbery – On April 17th, detectives from the Gang Unit responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 8800 block of Rixlew Ln in Manassas (20109) earlier in the day. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Dumfries, was walking in the above area when he was approached by two known acquaintances. During the encounter, the suspects identified themselves as gang members and assaulted the victim before taking his headphones and fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. While investigating this incident, detectives further learned that the same two suspects were involved in an unrelated robbery which occurred on April 16th. In that incident, the suspects forcibly took a cell phone belonging to a different victim. Following the investigation, detectives obtained charges against the two suspects, identified as juveniles. Both suspects were arrested without incident on April 21st.

Narcotics Investigation – On November 6th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of marijuana with the execution of a search warrant at a residence located at 4892 Dane Ridge Cir in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana, money, a handgun and packaging materials were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary – On April 21st at 1:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Mapledale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00AM and 12:30PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a basement level window after the glass was removed. Jewelry was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On April 21st at 10:22AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14100 block of Morrison Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:10AM and 10:10AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear window which was found shattered. Jewelry, money and CD player were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 21st at 4:39PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16000 block of Pitner St in Haymarket (20169) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 4:00AM and 9:00PM on April 19th, entry was attempted into the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 20th at 2:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Cape May Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary in progress. A resident of the home reported to police that he was inside his residence when he heard the sound of glass breaking. When the caller went around to the rear of the home, he observed an unknown man walking away from the backyard. Upon checking the home, a rear sliding glass door was found shattered. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 18 & 20 years of age, 6’0”, 170lbs with a medium build and beard
Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored jeans and a Chicago Bulls hat
