Prince William County Police Beat 4/10/13

Prince William County VA police department released the following report on April 10, 2013:

**ARRESTS**

Sexual Battery | Indecent Liberties – On March 29th, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 9500 block of Mountwood Dr in Manassas (20110) in March of 2013. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14 year old girl of Manassas, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, last month. During the investigation, detectives further learned that the accused had sexually assaulted a second victim, a 17 year old male of Bristow, at a separate residence around the same time frame. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on April 9th:
Sean Michael MALLOY, 18, of 9342 China Grove Ct in Manassas
Charged with sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child under 15
Court date unavailable, released on an unsecured bond

Burglary while Armed – On April 8th at 9:37PM, police responded to the 1700 block of Fort Henry Ct in Dumfries (22026) for a burglary in progress. The victim, a 37 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was inside his residence when three armed, masked men entered the residence through an unlocked front door while a fourth remained outside. Another resident of the home called police causing the intruders to flee. In the process of fleeing, one of the men fired their weapon towards the home. No injuries or property damage were reported and nothing was reported missing from the residence. The weapons used in the incident were believed to be airsoft guns. During the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit determined that this incident was not random and were able identify and arrest all four suspects involved. All suspects are juveniles.

A 13 year old male of Triangle

A 15 year old male of Dumfries

A 16 year old male of Triangle

A 17 year old male of Dumfries

All were charged with burglary while armed, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit a felony
Court date unavailable, all are being held at the Juvenile Detention Center

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On April 7th at 8:51PM, police responded to the 8700 block of Linton Hall Rd in Bristow (20136) for an assault. The victim, a 42 year old man of Bealton, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were standing outside of a friend’s residence in the above area when both men got in a verbal altercation. During the encounter, the accused allegedly retrieved a large knife and chased the victim to a vehicle where he locked himself inside. The accused approached the vehicle and attempted to get inside. In the process, the accused caused about $700 in damage to the doors and to a driver’s side window of the vehicle. The victim was able to flee the area and contact police. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Hector Humberto MARTINEZ, 36, of 11831 Battalion Sq in Bristow (Last known address)
Described as a Hispanic male, 5’6”, 170lbs, with a medium build, medium complexion, short black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his upper left arm
Wanted for attempted malicious wounding and destruction of property

Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault – On April 10th at 1:11AM, police responded to the 5000 block of Tarpon Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault. The victim, a 24 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, entered his residence uninvited and proceeded to assault him. The altercation continued outside of the residence where another occupant was able to separate the two parties. The accused fled the area on foot prior to police arrival. The altercation appeared to have stemmed from a previous encounter between the two men. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

Timothy Racen BROWN, 21, of 3925 Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge (Last known address)
Described as a black male, 5’9”, 140lbs, with a thin build, medium complexion, short black cornrows, and brown eyes
Wanted for burglary with intent to commit assault

Attempted Residential Burglary – On April 9th at 10:14PM, police responded to the 8800 block of Yellowthroat Ct in Gainesville for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 12:00PM on April 2nd and 3:00PM on April 9th, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a rear basement door. The door appeared to have been kicked and also showed pry marks near the door knob. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
