**UPDATES**

Residential Burglary *ARREST | SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On March 15th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit identified and arrested the accused, POLLARD, involved in a burglary which was reported to have occurred in the 12200 block of Aztec Pl in Woodbridge on November 29th of 2012. Detectives further discovered that the accused was also responsible for a burglary in the 12400 block of Oakwood Dr in Woodbridge from February 15th. The investigation also led to a second suspect, BROWN, being identified and responsible for a burglary in the 12300 block of Cinnamon St in Woodbridge from February 16th. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against BROWN. Attempts to locate BROWN have been unsuccessful.
Arrested on February 15th:
Shane Dareon POLLARD, 20, of 12328 Aztec Pl in Woodbridge
Charged with [in reference to the Aztec Pl incident] malicious wounding, burglary, robbery, and grand larceny
Charged with [in reference to the Oakwood Dr incident] burglary and grand larceny
Court date set for April 17, 2013, held WITHOUT bond

Wanted: Marcus Jermaine BROWN, 21, of 2920 Seminole Rd in Woodbridge [last known]
Described as a black male, 5’7”, 150lbs, with a light complexion, thin build, black hair, and brown eyes
Wanted for [in reference to the Cinnamon St incident] burglary and grand larceny

Residential Burglary (Previously Released) – On February 16th at 11:24PM, police responded to the 12300 block of Cinnamon St in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:00PM on February 10th and 11:00PM on February 16th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry appears to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. A laptop, 2 TV’s, and a gaming console with related games and equipment, valued around $3,400, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary (Previously Released) – On February 15th at 2:01PM, police responded to the 12400 block of Oakwood Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM and 1:20PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry appears to have been made through an unsecured rear door. Jewelry, TV, notebook, 2 cameras, and a gaming console, valued around $5,600, were reported missing. 

Residential Burglary (Previously Released) – On November 29th at 10:42AM, police responded to the 12200 block of Aztec Pl in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he was on a lower level of his residence when he heard his dogs start barking and then footsteps on an upper floor. Upon checking on the noise, the homeowner observed an unknown man in his residence. The man assaulted the victim and pulled out a knife. After a brief struggle, the man fled the residence on foot. No injuries were reported. Jewelry, valued around $1,200, was reported missing.

**INCIDENTS**

Rape | Abduction – On March 28th at 11:15PM, police responded to the area of Maplewood Dr and Peakwood Ct in Manassas (20111) for a rape. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Herndon, reported to police that she was walking to a residence of a known acquaintance in the above area when she was approached by an unknown man. The man displayed a handgun and forced the victim into a secluded area behind a townhome on nearby Vermont Pl where he then raped her. Following the encounter, the man fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital. A police K-9 and helicopter were used in the search for the suspect.

Attempted Armed Robbery – On March 28th at 12:46PM, police responded to the Maplewood Barbershop located at 8350 Shoppers Sq in Manassas (20111) for an attempted robbery. Witnesses reported to police that an unknown man entered the business and displayed a handgun. The man then ordered everyone to leave the store before being confronted by an employee in the rear of the business. The employee screamed causing the suspect to flee. No injuries were reported and no money was taken. A police K-9 and helicopter were used in the search of the suspect.

Residential Burglary – On March 28th at 7:40PM, police responded to the 14300 block of Megan Lp in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on March 25th and 11:00AM on March 27th. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window which had been broken out. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing. This incident may be related to a separate burglary on the same street (see release below).

Residential Burglary – On March 27th at 8:30PM, police responded to the 14300 block of Megan Lp in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that on March 26th, at around 10:30PM, she heard someone ring her doorbell. When the homeowner answered the door, no one was there. The homeowner checked the residence and discovered a screen on a rear window was removed and the window itself was open. No property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Narcotic Investigation – On March 8th, members of the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force, the Prince William County Police Gang Unit and the Prince William County Police Street Crimes Unit concluded an investigation into the possession and distribution of prescription medications. As a result of the investigation, the following arrests were made without incident. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and narcotics were also seized. The arrests were previously held for investigative purposes.

Narcotics Investigation – On January 31st, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of marijuana with the following arrests. During the investigation, detectives conducted a search of 4478 Torrence Pl in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the investigation, marijuana and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were seized. The arrests were previously held for investigative purposes.
