Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Thursday, March 26, 2015
**UPDATES**
Strong Armed Robbery *ARREST – On March 25th, members of the Prince William County Police Bike Team located the suspect involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 14700 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge on March 23rd. Detectives from the Robbery Unit had identified the suspect as the accused earlier in the day. The accused was arrested without incident at a relative’s residence on Beale Ct in Woodbridge.

Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 23rd at 2:30PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 31 year old man of no fixed address, reported to police that he was in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man asked the victim for money. As the victim reached for his wallet, the suspect assaulted him and forcibly took the wallet from the victim’s hands. The suspect immediately fled on foot. The victim attempted to chase the suspect but lost sight of him. During the chase, the suspect dropped the wallet. The victim further reported that money inside the wallet was reported missing. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. On March 25th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspect in connection to this case. During the investigation, detectives further learned that the suspect was known to the victim.
**INCIDENTS**
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On March 25th at 8:11PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8500 block of Cabot Ct in Manassas (20111) to investigate a destruction of property. The homeowner reported to police that a bullet hole was discovered in an upstairs wall of the home. The homeowner further reported that earlier in the day, around 3:30PM, a loud noise was heard which sounded like a gunshot. The damage was discovered later in the day but is believed to have occurred around the earlier time. No injuries were reported.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 25th at 12:22PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Packard Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime around 2:00AM on March 22nd, a loud noise was heard coming from the rear of the home. No suspect was seen. During a check of the home, the glass on a back door was found shattered. The homeowner initially believed the damage was caused naturally. A few days later, upon further examination of the door, pry marks were discovered. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
