Updates, incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Monday, March 23, 2015

**UPDATES**

Residential Burglary *ARRESTS – On March 20th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit identified the two suspects involved in the burglary which occurred at a residence located in the 13800 block of Meadowbrook Rd in Woodbridge on March 20th. The investigation revealed that this incident stemmed from a previous altercation involving a resident of the home and the suspects. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.
Arrested on March 20th:
Patrick Beniah NIX, 20, of 6148 Taffy Cr in Woodbridge
Charles Henry BOLDEN, 21, of 9310 Taney Rd in Manassas

Both men were charged with burglary, destruction of property and conspiracy to commit a felony

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On March 19th at 2:05AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13800 block of Meadowbrook Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that two unknown men attempted to force open a rear door. When the door would not open, the men went to the front door and were able to kick it open. Once inside the home, the men verbally threatened the occupants of the residence before fleeing. No injuries were reported and no property was taken. A police K-9 was sued to search for the suspects.


**INCIDENTS**

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling | Shooting from a Moving Vehicle – On March 21st at 2:06PM, officers responded to the 17900 block of Swans Creek Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call. Multiples callers reported to police that two vehicles were observed driving recklessly down Swans Creek Ln shooting towards one another. During the incident, multiple homes and a vehicle were struck. No injuries were reported. While searching the area, officers located and recovered numerous shell casings along the roadway. During the investigation, detectives received a tip regarding one of the vehicles involved. Through that lead, investigators located a gold Saab in the area of Brandy Moor Lp. Detectives were further able to identify one of the passengers in that vehicle as Deante GAINES. This suspect was reportedly seen by witnesses shooting from the vehicle towards the other vehicle which was described as a red Kia, unknown model*. As a result of this information, detectives obtained multiple warrants for the arrest of Deante GAINES in connection to this incident. The investigation into this incident continues as detectives seek to locate the other vehicle and to identify the other suspects involved.

Deante Maurice GAINES, 19, of the 500 block of Widewater Rd in Stafford
Described as black male, 5’9”, 160lbs with a medium build, black shoulder length dreadlocks, brown eyes and possibly an eyebrow ring
Wanted for 2 counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, 1 count of shooting from a moving vehicle and 1 count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

(*) Notes a change in the description of the second vehicle which was previously reported as a red Scion

Malicious Wounding – On March 21st at 9:21PM, officers responded to the 8000 block of Juliet Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 30 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by three unknown men. The men were reportedly armed with pipes which the suspects used to strike the victim. Minor injuries were reported and no property was taken during the incident. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.
Suspect Descriptions:
All three suspects were described as white males, between 30 & 35 years of age with medium builds
The suspects were last seen wearing all dark clothing – no further descriptions

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On March 21st at 11:59PM, officers responded to the area of Bel Air Dr and Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 35 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man demanded money from the victim. When the victim refused, the suspect struck the victim in the face and attempted to take his cell phone. The victim was able to hold onto his phone. The suspect fled in a black 4-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla. Minor injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 25 & 35 years of age, 5’11” with a muscular build
Last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and white pants

Residential Burglary – On March 20th at 9:01PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12600 block of Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:45PM and 7:30PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked rear sliding glass door. A gaming console and miscellaneous clothing items were reported missing. 

Residential Burglary – On March 12th at 9:36PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4800 block of Occoquan Club Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM and 3:30PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked garage door then through an unlocked interior door. Jewelry was reported missing. 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 21at at 1:30PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 14300 block of Westminister Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police sometime between 7:00AM and 2:30PM on March 20th, entry was attempted into the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the apartment and no property was reported missing. 

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On March 21st at 10:02PM, officers responded to the All American Steakhouse located at 5594 Ashland Community Sq in Manassas (20112) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that a fight had broken out in the parking lot of the business. During the encounter two victims were stabbed by a man later identified as the accused. One of the victims, a 33 year old man of Woodbridge, sustained a significant, life-threatening stab wound to his lower body. This victim was unconscious when the first officers arrived at the scene. Two officers began CPR on the victim while a third maintained pressure on the wound. The second victim, identified as a 43 year old man of Woodbridge, sustained a stab wound to his arm when he attempted to break up the altercation. Both victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Both are expected to survive. The accused remained at the scene and was detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Wendell Abraham HOWARD, 50, of 13210 Spriggs Rd in Manassas
Charged with two counts of malicious wounding
Court date: May 13, 2015 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
