Prince William County Police Beat 3/21/13

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary | Grand Larceny Auto – On March 20th at 12:00PM, police responded to the 9600 block of Norfolk St in Manassas (20110) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on March 17th and 9:00AM on March 19th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked rear door. A vehicle, valued around $15,000, was reported missing.
Stolen:
A 2003, black BMW X5 (SUV) with VA license plates – WWW-1422

Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 20th at 4:00PM, police responded to the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Caller reported to police that she heard the sound of glass breaking coming from a neighbor’s apartment. The caller observed three unknown males, all believed to be juveniles, standing to the rear of the residence. At the same time, another neighbor confronted the juveniles who then ran off. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
Lookout:
3 males, all reported to be between 14 & 16 years of age—
1st male was white, 5’2”-5’5”, 110lbs, thin build
Last seen wearing a bright purple t-shirt, jeans, a green & brown beanie style hat, black headphones, and glasses

2nd male was Hispanic, 5’0”, 120lbs with short black hair
Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants

3rd male was Hispanic, 5’0”, 90-120lbs, thin build with short brown hair
Last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a print on the front and jeans

Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 20th at 3:14PM, police responded to the 16200 block of Taconic Cir in Dumfries (22026) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he observed two unknown men attempted to kick open a rear door to his residence. The men fled on foot and did not make entry into the residence. No property was reported missing. A police K-9 was utilized in the search of the suspects.
Lookout:
2 black males, both reported to be between 18 % 25 years of age, 6’0”, thin build
Both were last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans

**ARRESTS**

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 21st at 12:50AM, a Prince William County police officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Sudley Rd and Gum Spring Dr in Catharpin (20143) for a traffic offense. During the encounter with the driver, identified as the accused, marijuana was located. Officers attempted to arrest the accused, at which point, he actively resisted and refused to get into the police cruiser. In the process, the accused kicked an officer to the leg multiple times. Additional officers arrived and the accused was eventually detained. Minor injuries were reported.
Arrested on March 21st:
Jordan Gregory MYRACLE, 20, of 4480 Daisy Reid Rd #409 in Woodbridge
Charged with assault & battery on LEO, reckless driving, and possession of marijuana
Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

Driving Under the Influence | Eluding – On March 21st at 1:00AM, a Prince William County police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Wellington Rd and Livingston Rd in Manassas (20109). The driver ignored the officer’s emergency equipment, including lights and siren, and continued to the area of the 7-11 on Wellington Rd where he stopped and was taken into custody without incident. The driver was identified as the accused and was determined to have been under the influence of alcohol.
Arrested on March 21st:
Gregory William BALLOU, 24, of 9833 Nimitz Ct in Manassas
Charged with driving under the influence – 4th in 10yrs, eluding, driving on a revoked license – alcohol related, and unreasonable refusal
Court date set for May 17, 2013, held WITHOUT bond

Reckless Driving | Felony Eluding – On March 20th at 7:47PM, a Prince William County police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Old Triangle Rd and Soundview Cir in Triangle (22172). The driver ignored the officer’s emergency equipment, including lights and siren, and continued on the wrong side of Graham Park Rd then to his address on Wharf Ln. Once at the address, officers attempted to arrest the accused. Following a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody. Upon searching the accused, marijuana was located
Arrested on March 20th:
James Robert JOHNSON JR, 32, of 3631 Wharf Ln in Triangle
Charged with reckless driving, felony eluding, driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest
Court date set for May 8, 2013, held WITHOUT bond

Narcotics Investigation – On January 22nd, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of marijuana and morphine with the execution of a search warrant at 7805 Rugby Rd in Manassas (20111). As a result of the investigation, marijuana, psilocybin, and other evidence were recovered. The following arrests were also made without incident. These arrests were previously held for investigative purposes.
Arrested on January 22nd:
Adrian Michael MYERS, 24, of 7805 Rugby Rd in Manassas
Charged with distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic, 2 counts of possession of schedule I or II narcotic, and possession of marijuana
Court date set for April 5, 2013, held WITHOUT bond [at the time of arrest]

Mary Katherine BAKER, 23, of 8305 Cooper St in Alexandria
Charged with possession of marijuana
Court date set for May 9, 2013, released on personal recognizance
