Prince William County Planning Dept. postpones upcoming rural area public input sessions

Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson issued the following email at after the close of business Aug. 29:

“Recently we sent an email notification (see below) announcing upcoming Rural Crescent meetings with some hosted by the Prince William County Planning Department.  Today the Department announced the postponement of their public input meetings due to pending legislation in the Virginia General Assembly related to impact fees. 

“Groups that were mobilizing to fight the Rural Clustering provision should continue to meet in preparation for the time when the Rural Study does comes back for consideration.  Of course I remain steadfast in my protection of development threats in the rural area and will keep you apprised.  I’m so pleased that this issue has garnered so much attention from the community.”

All the meetings listed below are postponed:

Postponed-Planning Commission Work Session Only - Rural Area
6:00 pm Wednesday, August 29, 2018

Rural Area Study Public Input Meetings:
Postponed●September 17, 2018 7:00 p.m.
Postponed●September 24, 2018 7:00 p.m.
Postponed●September 25, 2018 7:00 p.m.
