Burglary with Intent to Defile | Attempted Rape *ARREST – On January 12th, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force and detectives from the Street Crimes Unit with the assistance of K-9 and patrol officers located the suspect involved in the burglary and assault incident which occurred at a residence located in the 2500 block of Miranda Ln in Woodbridge earlier that morning. The accused was located at an address on Bobcat Ct in Woodbridge and was arrested without incident.

Demarcus Lamar IRISH, 25, of no fixed address
Charged with 2 counts of burglary with intent to commit a felony, 2 counts of burglary with intent to commit a misdemeanor, 1 count of attempted rape, domestic assault & battery, destruction of property and threating text messages

Burglary with Intent to Defile | Attempted Rape [Previously Released] – On January 12th at 3:58AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of Miranda Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was asleep inside her home when she woke to a sound coming from a lower level of the residence. Upon checking the home, the victim determined that the accused, a known acquaintance, forcibly entered the residence through a rear window. The victim and accused then got into a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing the home. The victim further reported that she has been involved in an ongoing dispute with the accused for several weeks. Warrants were already on file against the accused for previous encounters with the victim. Multiple officers, including a police K-9, searched the immediate area and neighbor in an attempt to locate the accused. Following the investigation, detectives obtained additional warrants against the accused relating to this incident.

Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On January 12th, the suspect involved in the assault which was reported to have occurred at the First Pentecostal Church located at 8216 Birch St in Manassas on December 24th turned himself into authorities in Culpeper.

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On January 3rd at 3:00PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at the First Pentecostal Church located at 8216 Birch St in Manassas (20111) on December 24th. The victim, a 41 year old man of Culpeper, reported to police that he was attending a family gathering being held at the church when he was confronted by the accused, a known acquaintance. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim down a flight of concrete steps as the victim was exiting the church. As a result, the victim sustained a significant leg injury. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding | Abduction *WANTED SUSPECT – On January 12th at 11:05AM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault which was reported to have occurred in the area of Baxter St and G St in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that morning around 1:30AM. The victim, a 28 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were driving in the above area when a verbal altercation escalated. During the encounter, the accused stopped the vehicle and proceeded to strike the victim in the face. The victim attempted to get out the car and run away, at which point, the accused grabbed her and forced the victim back in the vehicle. The victim further reported that the accused bit her during the assault. The victim went to an area hospital for treatment where police were contacted. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Described as a Hispanic male, 5’7”, 175lbs with a thin build, medium complexion, short brown hair and brown eyes
Wanted for malicious wounding and abduction

Residential Burglary – On January 13th at 3:11AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 14100 block of Cove Landing Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on January 12th and 2:45AM on January 13th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through the front door which was pried open. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On January 12th at 7:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of Battery Hill Cl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:49AM and 7:25PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through a basement window after the screen was cut and removed. A gaming console, iPhone, tablet and other property were reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On January 12th at 6:59AM, officers responded to Teddy’s Market located at 14418 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00PM on January 11th and 6:59AM on January 12th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through a front glass window which was broken out. A cash register containing an undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 12th at 7:01PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 3000 block of Cahill Ln in Dumfries (22026) on January 11th. The victim, a 36 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by her hair and assaulted her. The victim further reported that she did not feel free to leave the residence because of the actions by the accused. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with abduction and domestic assault & battery
