Police investigate two “shots fired” calls in Potomac Mills area

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Saturday, Jan. 16 at 9:21PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Defy Extreme Air located at 14555 Potomac Mills Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that approximately eight men were engaged in a physical altercation outside the business, when one of the parties brandished a firearm and fired multiple rounds.

All parties fled prior to police arrival at the business. Shell casings were located in the parking lot in front of the business. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Sunday, Jan. 17 at 9:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a parking lot located in the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller advised that gunshots were heard in the above area.

The investigation revealed that an unknown man was observed running from the area shortly after the shots were fired. Officers located shell casings in the roadway along side the business. No injuries or property damage were reported. The only suspect description is a man wearing dark colored clothing.
