Police investigate domestic with firearm allegedly involved

Attempted Burglary While Armed | Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 20 at 5:54AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 16800 block of Capon Tree Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic.

Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer, said the victim, a 39-year-old man, reported to police that earlier that morning, he and a family member, identified as the accused, were returning to a residence located in the 18400 block of Quantico Gateway Dr., when a verbal altercation escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly brandished a firearm and fired a round into the victim’s unoccupied vehicle.

Then, the police report said, the victim traveled to the residence on Capon Tree Ln. and the accused followed in a separate vehicle. When the accused kicked in the front door, attempting to enter the home, he was confronted by the victim who prevented him from making entry into the residence. The accused, who was carrying a firearm at the time, engaged in another verbal altercation with the victim before the accused left the area. No injuries were reported.

Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Armani Israel SHANNON. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
