Police investigate assault on shopper, 25, at Woodbridge mall
Sexual Battery Investigation – On May 22 at 7:53PM, officers responded to Children’s Place Outlet located inside of Potomac Mills Mall located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, reported to police that she was shopping in the store when she was approached by an unknown male. During the encounter, the suspect inappropriately grabbed the victim and attempted to hug her. When the victim attempted to walk away, the suspect made an obscene gesture. The suspect fled the business when the victim reported the incident to store employees and police. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male, approximately 21 years of age, 6’01”, 180lbs with a thin build and black hair
Last seen wearing grey hoodie, dark shirt, jeans, and white shoes.
