Armed Robbery | Aggravated Malicious Wounding *SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED – On March 2, 2020, Prince William County Police Department detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit obtained arrest warrants for three men in connection with a Dec. 19, 2019 shooting reported to have occurred in 4700 block of Pearson Dr. in Woodbridge (22193).
The men are accused of following the victim and an acquaintance to the above area where a robbery was committed by the suspects. During the encounter, the victim was shot and seriously injured.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and has since recovered and been released. The acquaintance, a 44-year-old man, was not injured. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the suspects.
One of the men, identified as Javontae Renard SMALLWOOD, is currently incarcerated at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on unrelated charges.
The two other men, identified as Tavon Everett Lee VINES and Daquan Artis TINKER, remain wanted in connection to the incident.
This investigation was aided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Fairfax County Police, and investigators with the MGM National Harbor. *Continuation from the investigative update on the previous page. Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On December 19 at 1:43AM, officers responded to the 4700 block of Pearson Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call.
When officers arrived, they located one male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as a 33-year-old man, was located in the street of the above location with a gunshot wound and assault wounds to the upper body. Responding officers provided immediate first aid to the victim until fire and rescue personnel arrived and the victim was flown to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed that the victim and an acquaintance, had just returned to the above area after being at the MGM Grand Casino. As they exited the car, they were approached by multiple masked men who had just pulled into the driveway behind them.
During the encounter, the victim was assaulted and then shot in the upper body before the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and a cell phone from him. The suspects fled the scene in a dark colored SUV prior to police arrival. At this time, no suspect information is available. The investigation continues.
