Bank Robbery | Armed Robbery *ARREST – On April 26, detectives concluded investigations into multiple robberies that were reported to have occurred at locations in the Manassas (20109) and Woodbridge (22192) areas of Prince William County between March 4-16.
With the assistance of local and federal partners, detectives identified the suspect and obtained arrest warrants. The investigation connected the accused to robberies reported at the United Bank on Smoketown Rd. and the CVS on Tacketts Mill Dr. in Woodbridge, and the Walgreens on Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas. On April 26, the accused, identified as Bobby WINSTEAD III, was located and taken into custody without incident. Additional charges are pending in the investigation.

Bank Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 4 at 12:32PM, officers responded to the United Bank located at 13870 Smoketown Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man approached the counter and demanded money. The suspect had one of his hands in a bag where part of what was believed to be a firearm was observed.
The suspect fled the bank on foot without taking money. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported. A police K-9 and officers searched the area for the suspect who was not located.
Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 16 at 10:51PM, officers responded to the CVS located at 2200 Tacketts Mill Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man approached the service counter and brandished a firearm before demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.
Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On March 22 at 11:30PM, officers responded to Walgreens located at 10671 Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an employee was approached by an unknown man who brandished a handgun and escorted the employee to a rear office. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the business with a second man who appeared to be distracting another employee at the front counter. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Both men were described as black males wearing surgical masks. One of the men was wearing a white or gray sweater, dark-colored jeans, and dark-colored shoes while the second man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark-colored pants and shoes.
Abduction | Strong-Arm Robbery *ADDITIONAL ARREST – On April 29, 2024, the remaining suspect, identified as Patrick DIAZ PINA, who was sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred in the 10600 block of Automotive Dr. in Manassas (20109) on June 12, 2023, was arrested in Fairfax County. Another suspect was previously arrested in connection to the incident in July 2023.

Abduction | Strong-Arm Robbery *ARREST [Previously Released] – On July 21, one of the suspects sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred in the 10600 block of Automotive Dr. in Manassas (20109) on June 12, was arrested. The accused, identified as Bryan Steven ROMERO MARTINEZ, was taken into custody in Loudoun County. The second suspect, identified as Patrick DIAZ PINA, remains wanted. Attempts to locate the wanted suspect has been unsuccessful.
Abduction | Strong-Arm Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 12 at 7:58AM, officers responded to the 10600 block of Automotive Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed earlier that morning, the victim, a 25-year-old woman, was inside her apartment in the 10200 block of Launch Cl. when an acquaintance, later identified as the accused, entered the residence without consent. While inside the apartment, the accused pushed the victim before taking her phone. The accused refused to return the phone before forcing the victim into a vehicle driven by another acquaintance.
While driving, the accused forced the victim to electronically transfer funds from her account. When the parties stopped in the parking lot of the above location, the accused threw the victims phone into a nearby wooded area. The victim was eventually able to get out of the vehicle where she was then grabbed by the accused and struck multiple times. The accused held onto the victim as the driver began driving the vehicle and dragging the victim.
The parties separated and the victim contacted police at a nearby business.
Fire and rescue personnel treated the victim for minor injuries at the scene. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for both the accused, identified as Brian ROMERO MARTINEZ and the driver, identified as Patrick DIAZ PINA. Attempts to locate both men have been unsuccessful.
Brandishing of a Firearm *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On April 28, officers identified and obtained arrest warrants for the suspect involved in the brandishing incident that was reported to have occurred at Burger King located at 16551 River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191), on April 23. Attempts to locate the accused, identified as Tasheem Rashad DOUGLAS, have been unsuccessful.

Wanted for brandishing of a firearm and assault & battery
Brandishing of a Firearm [Previously Released]– On April 23 at 9:46PM, officers responded to the Burger King located at 16551 River Ridge Blvd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a brandishing.
The investigation revealed an employee and male patron were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the man threw cups of liquid toward the employees and then spat on an employee before running out of the restaurant. When another employee followed the suspect outside, the man brandished a firearm towards the employee before the parties separated. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
Brandishing of a Firearm | Road Rage Related – On April 26 at 4:54PM, officers responded to the intersection of Richmond Hwy and Dumfries Rd. in Dumfries (22192) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 34-year-old man, was driving on Dumfries Rd. when he was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of another vehicle.
While both vehicles were stopped at the above intersection and the drivers continued the verbal altercation, the driver of the other vehicle got out of their vehicle and brandished a firearm. The victim remained in his vehicle during the encounter. Eventually, the parties separated without further incident. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male approximately 25 years old driving a white BMW.
Attempted Burglary – On April 29 at 8:54AM, officers responded to the Coverstone Apartments located in the 8100 block of Porter Ridge Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed sometime between 12:00AM and 6:00AM, entry was attempted into the apartment through a bedroom window which was found unsecured. No property was reported missing.
Vandalism on School Grounds – On April 27 at 6:45PM, officers responded to investigate a vandalism reported to have occurred at Colgan High School in Manassas (20112) between April 26 and April 27. The investigation revealed sometime during the above timeframe, a swastika and an anti-Semitic phrase was etched into a bathroom stall door. School personnel were notified to remove the markings. No additional markings were reported.
Arrests
Falsely Summoning Emergency Services – On April 24 at 7:36PM, officers responded to T. Clay Wood
Elementary School located at 10600 Kettle Run Rd. in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a report of shots fired.
Officers responded to the scene and found no evidence that a shooting occurred. The investigation revealed
a student, later identified as the accused, contacted emergency services, and falsely reported the shots fired.
Detectives identified the accused and determined there was no credible threat to the school. Following the
investigation, the accused, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, was arrested.
