Dumfries man charged with reckless handling of a firearm
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at 2:21AM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to the15100 block of Alaska Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer, said that residents reported to police that a gunshot was fired in the above area before two vehicles were observed leaving the area. Responding officers observed two vehicles matching the description provided by the caller and conducted a stop on both vehicles.
During the investigation, one of the occupants of the vehicle was determined to be the person who fired the round. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sergio Eulalio VASQUEZ, was arrested.
