**INCIDENTS**
Strangulation | Cruelty or Injuries to Children – On August 16th at 5:10AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12100 block of Springwoods Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 38 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim, knocking her to the ground while she was holding her 7 month old child. The accused then got on top of the victim and proceeded to cover her mouth and nose. Both parties eventually separated and police were contacted. The accused left the home prior to speaking to officers. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained for the arrest of the accused. Attempts to locate this suspect have been unsuccessful.
Wanted:
Marcus Allen MAYS, 30, of the 200 Regina Ln in Fredericksburg
Described as a black male, 5’ 9”, 200lbs with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for strangulation, cruelty or injuries to children and domestic assault & battery
**ARRESTS**
Felony Child Neglect – On August 16th at 9:29PM, a Prince William County police officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Nokesville Rd and Fitzwater Dr in Nokesville (20181) for suspected DUI. Officers made contact with the driver and identified him as the accused. During the encounter, the accused was determined to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. Also inside the vehicle at the time of the stop was a 12 year old girl, identified as a family member of the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on August 16th:
Jose Rufino CALLEJA SOTO, 33, of 9831 Murray Ln in Manassas
Charged with felony child neglect, driving under the influence and driving on a revoked license
Court date: October 7, 2015 | Bond: $15,000 secured
Felony Child Neglect – On August 16th at 7:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Royal Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a 911 call. Officers arrived at the residence and found the front door open. Upon checking the home, officers located a 1 year old infant girl alone inside the residence. A short time later, the accused, a known family member, returned to the home. The child was not injured. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Felicita ORTIZ SORTO, 56, of 16563 Royal Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with abandonment of an infant
Court date: pending | Bond: $5,000 secured
Felony Child Neglect – On August 14th at 3:41PM, officers responded to the area of Dale Blvd and Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a found child call. The caller reported to police that they witnessed a small child, later identified as a 3 year old boy, attempting to cross Dale Blvd in the area above. Officers arrived and were able to determine that the child lived at a residence in the 14400 block of Fillerate St. When officers arrived at the home, they found the front door open. Upon checking the residence, officers located the accused, a known family member, asleep in a bedroom. The child was not injured. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Kiara Leshaun WHITE, 24, of 14472 Fillerate St in Woodbridge
Charged with felony child neglect
Court date: October 8, 2015 | Bond: $5,000 secured
