Police called about yelling child, two toddlers and unresponsive woman on ground

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On February 24th at 12:56PM, officers responded to the Check into Cash business located at 12367 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery.  Employees reported to police that two unknown men entered the business, ordered the employees to the ground, and demanded money. One of the men displayed a hand gun, while the other man displayed an electronic restraint device. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the business before fleeing on foot.  No injuries were reported.
Suspect Descriptions:
Black male, unknown age, 5’10”, 190lbs with a medium build and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a mask, green jacket, and jeans
       
Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’00”, 220lbs with a heavy build and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a mask, puffy black jacket with a hood, blue jeans, and red, black & white shoes

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding | Felony Child Abuse – On February 24th at 2:33PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault involving a child. A caller notified police to report that a child could be heard yelling from a neighboring residence. Police responded to that residence and located the victim, a 4 year old female child. The investigation revealed that the victim suffered multiple strikes to the body by the accused, a known acquaintance, using an electrical cord. The accused was still at the residence when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Jerry Anthony CROCKETT, 35, of 3105 Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries
Charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse

Felony Child Neglect – On February 22nd at 10:31PM, officers responded to the area of Anchorage Cove and Olde Port Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate the report of an unconscious person. A caller reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he located an unknown woman, later identified as the accused, lying on the ground, unresponsive. At the time, the accused was accompanied by two three year old male children, later identified as family members. When police arrived, they took custody of the children while the accused was transported to an area hospital. The investigation revealed that the accused was walking to a nearby store with the children and was under the influence of PCP which caused her to pass out. The accused was treated for non-life threatening injuries and, after an investigation, was arrested without incident. The children were unharmed and subsequently released to the care of a family member.

          Tanesha Shawnte KINARD, 25, of no fixed address
          Charged with 2 counts of felony child neglect and 2 counts of child endangerment
