Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County police on Thursday, October 15, 2015
**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery – On October 14th at 8:58PM, officers responded to the 12300 block of Midsummer Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 48 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was making a pizza delivery to an apartment in the above area. After the making the delivery, the victim was walking to his vehicle when he was approached by three unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a knife and demanded money. The men took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Officers checked the surrounding area for the suspects who were no located.

Black male, between 25 & 30 years of age, 5’9” with a thin build and dark complexion
Last seen wearing a black knit cap, dark green jacket and dark colored jeans
Black male, between 25 & 30 years of age, 5’9” with a heavy build and dark complexion
Last seen wearing a black knit cap, multi-colored long sleeve shirt and dark colored jeans
Black male, between 25 & 30 years of age, 5’9” with an unknown build and dark complexion
Last seen wearing a black knit cap, white T-shirt, dark colored jeans and red shoes
Residential Burglary – On October 14th at 10:47PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Sunny Ridge Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:30AM on September 28th and 10:30PM on October 14th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A laptop, 2 televisions and miscellaneous clothing items were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On October 14th at 11:59AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Quate Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 9:30AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear patio door which was found damaged. A watch and other miscellaneous items were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On October 14th at 5:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Gaffney Cir in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 11:30PM on October 13th and 4:30AM on October 14th, entry was attempted into the home through a rear kitchen door which was found damaged. No entry was made and no property was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On October 13th at 10:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11900 block of Ricketts Battery Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 5:30AM and 7:40AM, entry was attempted into the home through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made and no property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On October 13th at 8:45PM, officers responded to the 17100 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a reckless driving complaint. When officers arrived in the area, the vehicle was located in a parking space in front of a business. Officers made contact with one of the occupants, identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused became agitated towards the officers. The accused exhibited signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest. While being placed in the backseat of a police cruiser, the accused continued to resist and, at one point, bit an officer on the arm. Following the encounter, the accused was charged with the below listed offenses.
Arrested on October 13th:
Merley Jean DORESTAL, 43, of 11716 Elsie Ln in Fredericksburg
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, resisting arrest and public intoxication
Court Date: November 23, 2015 | Bond: $2,500 secured
