Piedmont Vista Drive fire incident on Aug. 12
On Monday, August 12, 2013 at approximately 6:15 PM, Prince William County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a two story single family house fire in the 13100 block of Piedmont Vista Drive.
Upon arrival, fire and rescue units found a rapidly spreading fire on the back side of the house extending into the attic, according to Curtis Brodie, battalion chief with Prince William County Fire and Rescue.
Fire and rescue units initiated suppression operations and were able to control the fire in approximately 20 minutes, Brodie reported. Smoke detectors were present and did activate, he added. County Police assisted with traffic control.
The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office, Brodie said.
