Pedestrian struck and killed in hit and run accident near Lake Ridge
Fatal Crash Investigation | Hit and Run – On December 10 at 7:15PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Caton Hill Rd. and Telegraph Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian.
The investigation revealed that the driver of a red sedan was traveling east on Caton Hill Rd. approaching the intersection with Telegraph Rd. when the vehicle struck a pedestrian, identified as a 30-year-old man. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The striking vehicle fled the scene, continuing eastbound on Caton Hill Rd. towards the Prince William County Pkwy. At this time, it remains unclear if the pedestrian was struck within the crosswalk at the intersection or if he had the signal to cross. The investigation continues.
