**INCIDENTS**
Commercial Burglary – On December 28 at 1:05PM, officers responded to Swift Auto Recycling & Salvage located at 14823 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:25PM on December 27 and 6:45AM on December 28. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. Catalytic converters were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Malicious Wounding – On December 28 at 5:02AM, officers responded to investigate a domestic which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 17300 block of Kildare Ln in Dumfries (22026) earlier that morning. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25-year-old woman of Norfolk, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused bit off part of the victim’s finger. After the incident, the accused dropped the victim off at an area hospital where police were contacted. The accused later turned himself into police at the Gar-Field Station without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Shawn Joseph MCCARREN, was arrested.

Shawn Joseph MCCARREN, 31, of the 200 block of Ethel Ave in Norfolk
Charged with malicious wounding

Brandishing a Firearm – On December 28 at 1:43AM, officers responded to Queens Gambit located at 12730 Black Forest Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in a verbal altercation with another patron inside of the business which resulted in the accused being told to leave by the business staff. As the accused was being escorted out of the business, he brandished a handgun and fired several shots into the air. Officers arrived and detained the accused without incident. Further investigation revealed that the handgun was a starting pistol which fired blanks. There were no injuries or property damage reported. Following the investigation, the accused was charged.

Albert Clifford WOOD III, 35, of 14414 Fairview Ln in Woodbridge
Charged with brandishing a firearm and disorderly conduct
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Released on a $2,000 secured bond
