Parking brake upgrade completed for newer Prince William County school buses

All newer school buses used to transport students in Prince William County Public Schools have been retrofitted with an added interlock device to prevent parking brakes from disengaging accidentally.
PWCS joins other schools divisions across Virginia in upgrading their school buses.
Buses are safe without the feature, but the upgrade adds another layer of protection, according to a news release from Prince William County Schools community relations office.
