One suspect arrested in Sept. 1 home invasion in Woodbridge; another suspect still at large

Burglary while Armed – On September 1 at 8:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 5700 block of Ridgedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a home invasion.

The victim, a 29-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that two known men entered the home brandishing handguns. During the encounter, the suspects and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation before the suspects eventually left the home. Minor injuries were reported and no property was taken.

Officers were able to identify both suspects involved. Following the investigation, officer obtained warrants for the arrest of the suspects. One of suspects, identified as Marcus Antonio HUNTER, was subsequently arrested without incident on September 2. Attempts to locate the second suspect, identified as Cortez Orlando SETTLES, have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.

Marcus Antonio HUNTER, 30, of 14815 Dixon Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with burglary while armed, brandishing a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Court Date: October 24, 2017 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Wanted:
Cortez Orlando SETTLES, 27, of the 7200 block of Fairchild Dr in Alexandria
Described as a black male, 5’11”, 250lbs with black hair and brown eye
Wanted for burglary while armed, brandishing a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
