Occoquan Town Hall officially named
On Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022 at 3 p.m., the Town Hall was officially named in honor of Mamie L. Davis and June W. Randolph.
In 1991 the Occoquan Town Council adopted a resolution naming our Town Hall building at 314 Mill Street in honor of two long-serving Occoquan residents, Ms. Davis and Ms. Randolph.
At the time, Ms. Randolph insisted that the honor not be bestowed while she was living. As reported in May, Ms. Randolph passed away on May 23, 2022, at the age of 101. On Saturday, Occoquan honored Randolph’s service to the Town once more by formally naming the Town Hall building after her and Ms. Davis as the Town Council decreed in 1991.
