Occoquan Regional Park closed for construction; FOTO volunteers should pick another site Oct. 14
IMPORTANT NOTICE—Volunteers for the FOTO cleanup at the Occoquan Regional Park, please choose one of four other locations listed below. The Regional Park will be closed because of ongoing construction.
FOTO’s Occoquan River Clean Up will be on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9 am-to noon. You can make a difference! Help preserve one of our region’s most important natural resources: The Occoquan River! Rain or Shine! Refreshments will be provided.
**We are in need of boaters to help assist along the waterways at the various sites. Please contact FOTO at 703-624-7124 if you can help us out!**
In FOTO’s efforts to cut down on the use of plastic water bottles the group encourages volunteers to bring their own refillable water bottles for water drinking purposes. Using refillable water bottles will decrease the amount of pollution that enters our waterways and make clean-up efforts easier.
