Nuttall Oak Place fire incident in Dumfries
On Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at 9:53 a.m., Prince William County fire and rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire located in the 16800 block of Nuttall Oak Place in Dumfries, according to a news release from the Department of Fire & Rescue.
Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed fire on the third floor balcony of the townhome., the fire report said.
Firefighters initiated suppression operations and quickly extinguished the fire, thereby preventing further extension.
The occupants, two adults, were home at the time of the fire; however, no injuries were reported, according to the fire report.
Preliminary damages were minimal estimated at $7,500.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
