Northern Va. Senior Olympics adds new events to lineup
The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics committee has announced the addition of two new events to its 2013 roster: rowing and handball.
NVSO now offers over 50 events which will take place Sept. 7-19 at 17 venues throughout Northern Virginia. NVSO is sponsored by nine Northern Virginia jurisdictions including Prince William, Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, counties, cities of Alexandria, Fairfax and Falls Church and Fairfax County Park Authority.
Among the events are track and field, cycling, racquetball, ten pin bowling, tennis, golf, miniature golf, scrabble, Wii bowling, dominos, duplicate bridge, bocce, table tennis, team line dancing, volleyball, yo-yo tricks, swimming, diving, basketball, pickleball, eight ball pool and more.
