Nokesville Day activities shifted to Brentsville District High School
The Aden Rd/Marsteller Dr. bridge is closed after some emergency findings. There’s a detour set up which drives traffic down Marsteller Dr. and left onto Fitzwater to continue right or left onto Aden Rd.
This unfortunately impacts the Nokesville Day activities and forces the Nokesville-Bristow Ruritan Club to change the format of this decades-old Nokesville tradition.
The Nokesville Day activities, including the parade, will be centered at BDHS and the club is working on the logistics to make the most of this sudden and unexpected situation.
Because the road has to be open, folks can park along it. Also parking will be available at the old Nokesville School.
The Ruritans hope the community will understand that this is totally beyond their control and they thank the community in advance for coming out to support the vendors, school groups and others who are helping the Ruritans continue their service work here.
